The following podcast contains strong language and adult themes and is intended for a mature audience. Listener discretion is advised. That guy's fed, Bonnie. Good man, Judson. You are for beer me. Shit. All right, we got work to do, gang. Everybody listen up. Gonna hit the blacktop for a night ride. Rendezvous near the city center. And then what, Miss Bonnie? Then we wait, Judson. We got a target. Two, actually. There's this kid.

Somehow got himself tangled up with the main target. Reppin' X has stuck a tracker on the kid, a bug. Here's the thing, we can't grab him. Not yet. So long as these two stick together, Weapon X wants to keep up surveillance. Listening in, I guess. Surveillance? Where is the fun in that? Well, what are they listening for?

They ain't saying. Well, that's some bullshit. But you better believe there's muties involved. Why they listening in on this mutie? Why not just kill them? Something big they're after. Big, huh? Yeah, bigger than these two anyway. I'm working on it. So what's the plan? The plan is we head into the city, find these two, and watch and wait. If they split up, then we move in for the takedown.

They paying us to sit on our hands. I know. That's what the fed lady told me. Stand by for extraction. Who the hell talks like that? Feds. Wait, so we ain't gonna feed his ass to the gators? Yeah, come on. What the hell? Ass a job. So who's the target? Name's Logan. This one's a special case, apparently. How so, Miss Bosch? Well, look here.

Bad lady gave me these. All right, though. Ain't no bullets. Tranquilizer darts. There's 50 cc's of M99 in each one. Single drops a thousand times more powerful than morphine. Damn. Well, that's what they want us to use. That's what they want us to use.

I don't like it. What the hell kind of freak needs that much dope to drop? Dangerous one, I guess. That's what the bed lady says. He's so dangerous, why don't we just kill him? I gotta see a picture of this mutie. Shooting fire out his nose, 20 feet tall or what? I have two. told.

You're kidding. There's no room. I ain't kidding. 5-2. Well, she said he's dangerous. Jesus. Come on, Miss Bob. You got to show me a picture. I got to see it. I got to see this little thing. All right, y'all. Hold on. Hold on. I got it on my phone somewhere. All right, here. Let me see. Let me see. Here's a picture of him. Oh, please. Don't look like mugs. That ain't no face. That's a fist of some hairy-ass knuckles. Damn mugshot. I think it's more like a work photo of some such.

He don't look happy to be working where he's working. For them. Weapon X. At least that's the way it sounds to me. He worked for them? What in the hell? My own government hiring muties. Unbelievable. Makes me ashamed of my own country. Well, no disrespect, Miss Barney, but you ain't hesitating to cash them government checks. No disrespect. Yeah, no disrespect, I'm just saying. And what are you saying, Judson? Well, I'm just saying you can't complain if you're taking their money and...

I'm sorry, it's hard to hear over all your little piggy squeals. Stop, please. Why'd you go make me do that? Come on now, Judson. I don't want to punish you. Don't make me do that. I'm sorry. You no disrespect me again. And I'll put a cigarette out in your eye. I'm sorry. You all know I mean that, right? Yes, ma'am. I'm sorry, Miss Bonnie. I know you are. I know.

I might take their money, but I don't work for them. Cold-blooded don't work for nobody but me. And our job ain't done until this country's purged of mutants. Let's go get it. All right, y'all, come on. We'll say we go for a ride. Marvel and Stitcher present Marvel's Wolverine The Lost Trail Chapter 3 I'm Marcus. This is Logan. What you want? What about your husband? Matthew. You find my Matthew? No, well, not quite. Well, do you know something? Now, don't you tell me he's dead. Don't you dare.

Trying it no more. All right. Not sure I like the look of this one. Why he got such an ugly look on his face? Don't mind, Logan. He's always looking like that. Huh. There ain't seats enough for everybody. Sit down. Well, get on with it. Right. So we saw this article in the paper about Matthew. That's no article. That was a notice I paid for. Newspaper won't waste no space on a missing man. Men been running off all the time, I'm told. But not my Matthew.

You're not the only one who's lost someone. Who you lose? I mean, I lost my mama and his friend Maureen. They went missing too? And a whole lot of others. And you know what I'm going through. I mean, when we looked in Maureen's apartment, we found this notice about your husband. See, along with articles and a whole bunch of other missing persons reports. So what are you saying? We're saying...

Maureen collected a bunch of missing persons reports and then she went missing herself. That doesn't seem like an accident. We're looking for connections. When did your husband go missing? Four months just shot. Maureen's been gone a month. And Mama's been missing for two months. Matthew's way earlier. One of the first even.

There was something in your notice that stood out, you wrote. Matthew may not be in his right mind. Yeah, what did you mean by that? This wasn't no Alzheimer's, understand? Don't you even try to give me that. Police already did. All right. And Matthew wasn't on no drugs, neither. He wasn't that kind of man. All right. But towards the end, before he vanished, he was... I don't know what the right word is. Wrong-headed? How so? Having visions. Hearing things. Listen, he was fine before finding it.

What? What changed? It all started when this man come looking to hire him. Who? He was old-fashioned. Was he wearing a suit? Yeah, he was. A tall man, maybe 50, 55, black hair with some gray in it. Funny mustache. Sure was. One of those. I'm better than you smiles underneath the tube. Logan, didn't I tell you? So you know what? Now this night. Slow down, kid. We don't know what we know. Well, police saying there's no connection.

But I'm telling you, after he showed up, that's when everything turned strange. Anything else he can remember about him? Anything. Only that he had a... voice as smooth as molasses. And I'll never forget what he said. Y'all take care. And a special thanks to you for sharing your husband with me, Mrs. Goomer. Like Matthew was something to be borrowed. Wingard. What'd you say? Jason Wingard. Jason Wingard.

I'm thinking, yeah, I'm thinking that's sounding right. Jason, Jason Winkhart, so you do know him. Logan. Who is this? This is wonderful. This is what I've been praying for. Logan. It's the man, all right. Logan, you know... Jason Wingard. Are you saying you know the wizard's name? I can't remember. I think... Just keep going. Well, I mean, that night after this, Wingard come, that's the first time it happened.

First time what happened? First time my Matthew sleepwalked. Never in our marriage did that man do nothing but hit the pillar and snort till dawn. Now all of a sudden he's shuffling around the house, opening doors. I stop him three nights in a row. Fourth night, I catch him out in the yard in nothing but his drawers. Damn toolbox in his hands. Toolbox? Yeah. Well, see, Matthew, he's a one-man construction company.

Plumbing, wiring, framing, siding, roofing, everything. So, this man who came, he wanted your husband to build him something? Yeah. They went out to the workshop in the back, so I didn't hear everything. But I heard enough. It wasn't a house he wanted. It was a compound. Something like that. Something big. Big money. Again, I didn't get all the details, but Matthew turned them down. Thought it was too risky. Risk a hassle.

Because of the mutants. Look, with the way things are right now, we like to keep our heads down, not looking for no trouble. And this man, this wind guard, he was... Looking to build a refuge. A place where humans and mutants can live separate from all the hate and all the trouble in this world. Where was this compound exactly, if you remember? I don't know.

So when you caught him sleepwalking, could you tell which direction he was headed? Toward the bayou looked like. And when I shook him, his voice seemed, I don't know, it was my Matthew, but then it wasn't. I got a gold, got a job, he said. But I didn't know what to do. Got to where I was thinking about tying him down to the bed, and I wish I had. Then I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you about this now.

I got something for you. You just hold on a minute. Logan. Logan. Why you acting all weird on this? This isn't acting weird. Now, remember your own business? Sometimes my memory... Sometimes your memory what? You know this, Wingo? This is worse than I thought. This is gonna get bad. You can't... I can't what? You can't come. What? Come where? What are you talking? Here it is.

I found this in the workshop after he left. What is it? Blueprints? Only this is one of a hundred. Hundreds of blueprints all over the place. Floor, walls, ceilings, different buildings, different plans. Some of them drawn over and over again. Ryan's old chicken scratch. It's like he was possessed. What does it say along the top here? Let me see. It says... Wolverine The Lost Trail will return after these messages.

The place we're going is just around the block. Come on. Never been on Burger Street at night. This is sweet. This is the worst place on earth. I'm just not a city guy like me, Logan. People who likes music. It's all I am, wasn't it? Yeah, well, you can have it. Hey, keep your hat pulled low and your face down. I think you idiots got their phone out of here. Stupid dick. So, uh, Wingard? Yeah, what about him?

What do you mean, what about him? When you said his name, he looked like you snucked four or five times. I know you know who he is. It's Philly. It's there, but it's not. What's that supposed to mean? He'll come back to me, okay? But he's for sure the one who took Roxanne's husband. He's the one.

He took my mama, too. You got Maureen's map, right? All those missing people. The pen's made a circle, and in the center of the circle is the body. Yeah. And then we've got Gooma's husband hearing things, seeing things, sleepwalking toward the body. Same as Maureen. Hold on. It's Greenhaven. Greenhaven is a place. That's where he's got to be hiding them, right? Oh, yeah. Oh, my bad.

And if Greenhead is the place we're going to find him at, what the hell are we still doing here? Get out of my way. Sorry about that. Excuse us. Excuse us. Sorry, y'all. I said it, but you just get the hell out of my way. We're real solid. I hate this place. Logan, settle down. Watch out for the street team we've got to get. Oh, my God. It's the street team. It's what they call it in Bangkok. It's all the beer and puke and blood that gets spilled in a place like this.

You should have said that sooner. Look at these. Yeah. You don't want to lose that shoe before your foot rots off. No, no, no, no, no, no. I ain't losing nothing, Logan. You know how many oysters I shuck just to get these? Come on, we're almost there. Get where? Where we? Hey, Shortstack, you winning on the show? Here to see Flamingo. Yeah, you and everybody else. $10 cup. Business, not pleasure.

Look, I don't care if you had a dance, drink, use the bathroom. It's a $10 cup. And the boy with you, he better have ID. I ain't no boy. Here, 50. Let's call it a convenience tax. Hmm. Well, welcome to the Jolly Roger. Up on stage. In the paint. This is how you do.

Pull it out of your pockets and pull it out of your boots. Let's just say some friends in Tokyo would be a favor. Tokyo? You've been laughing to me. Don't you worry about it, kid. Logan, come on, man. Tokyo, my name is in God. You're not giving me shit. if you ain't sharing nothing. I'll keep this. Hey, Bomingo. You don't want it, but I'm giving it. Coming on downward here, don't try to stop. Go ahead, try your best and look grumpy.

But it's a lot harder with lipstick. I saw you dancing out there. Yeah? What'd you think? Pretty sick. Feathers and the glitter and just all of it. It's fire. It's called decadent share. And this is the boy, Marcus. Wait, how do you know about me? The way I understand it is, y'all are here in a world of trouble, and I'm here to help. What's that smell? Marcus stepped in the street to outside. Seriously, kid, lose the shoe. Yeah, but... Baby, we can find you something new. Well, I...

Whatever. For a minute there, I thought the smell was Lolo. He's Sergeant Adam. How do you guys know each other exactly? First time we match. I was on a private security detail in Palestine. Wasn't that it, Lolo? Yeah. Wait, you're joking, right? Seriously? Seriously. Are you a mutant, too? Not a mutant. Though I do have the power of fabulousness.

Listen, you know anything about the people going missing? Never one for small talk, were you? Bubbly water? No, not for me. Wasn't asking you. Marcus, I'm good. Thank you, though. Okay, what about a place called Greenhaven? Flamingo. Never heard of no Green Haven. But I've heard about plenty going missing. A friend of mine, Atticus, used to come around all the time. He talked to water. What that mean? It means he could make water do what he wanted.

Call it up from the ground, bust a faucet, catch a raindrop, you name it. I gave him one of these here cans backstage. He poured it out, made the water into silver balls he juggled with. And one day, maybe about a month ago, he didn't come around no more. Phone goes straight to voicemail. Apartments just the way he left it. And no one knows a thing. It's bad out there, love. Yeah, it was bad when I left. Honey.

It's hard to remember when it was ever good, but it's worse. For sure now. Not like these people didn't exist before, but now they're more generous, let's say, with their hate. So where do you want me to send a little man? Somewhere safe out of state, Canada. Got a dear friend with a safe house outside of Toronto. Great. Here's 500. Things are going to be hot here for a while. Listen, kid. I'm going to give it to you straight.

What you got yourself into, you ain't cut out for it. I ain't gonna be responsible for getting you killed. Come on, baby, let's go. Green light. They're about to separate. We need to move or we'll lose Logan. Copy that. We're ready. I'm going through the front for the boy. Logan's leaving through the L.A. out back. Trap him. He's yours. Now, move! Don't move me, Sally. We got this. Let's go! Listen to me.

This is an extraction. Use the tranquilizers, or it'll tear you apart. And move! Beauty's ready, boys.

Logan, which I talk about. Listen, kid. If it's Wingard we're dealing with, that changes everything. I'm coming with you. It's not safe for you. And Lingo's going to get you out. I thought you said we were. If your mom's alive, I'll find her. I thought we were partners, Logan. You don't need to get our shoes with you. This is bull. You don't decide where I go. It's going to be okay. No, this is my life.

I can take care of myself, Logan. I promise. Come on. Stupid goddamn kid. Do me a goddamn favor. Mother and sweat. Look who it is. I can smell you guys. I don't suppose you know who we are, baby. Zoom. More of you coming because two, three, four, five. That ain't gonna be enough. Oh, yeah. Well, we can wait if you've got reinforcements coming. I don't mind. I prefer a fair fight. Well, hello there. And you must be Bonnie Roach. Excellent.

Be careful, they said. This one's not to be trifle with, they said. I'm frankly feeling a little bit let down, because you sure don't look like much, you mutiny runt. Sorry to disappoint you. Now tell me something. Is that your actual hair, or did a possum crawl up on your head and die? You know, I was told to use these trying darts on you, but where's the fun in that? You were told? Who told you?

I get hired out for a lot of killing, but you're the first freak show they want on a leash. Didn't realize Weapon X was contracting trailer trash. Oh, we got guns, but we really prefer not to use them if it's all the same to you. We're more, uh, hands-on. What makes you so special anyway, Mutie? You wanna find out?

I'm keeping you alive by keeping you with me. Okay, sugar? No. I'm sorry, but... This is straight up kidnapping! Shh! Now, you'll be alright. I promise. Logan's gonna get things sorted and I'm gonna get you safe. Listen, listen, listen. There's a side exit. Follow me, duck behind the bar, and stay low. Then run. Okay. In the meantime, this bitch is mine. Let's get outside, goodbye. I've come a long, long way. And now I've finally found you. Twice it's different than it was in Japan.

Or is that just some other rust bug with your face stapled to it? You should know by now. I can sound however I want. You cackle me, bitch! Where's Marcus? When you wake up from this, you won't remember Marcus or anything else. It's you. at the club that's about a hundred miles from help. You straight up betrayed me. And I still came back for you. I helped you. I saved you. I didn't need saving.

With Agent Pierce and the cold-blooded closing in, I showed up just in time on that bike. And what about Flamingo? She could be dead for all we know. On my wife, this is what you do? You toss people to the side? listening to me. Okay, you've been doing good. Is that what you want to hear? You did good back with Roxanne Gooman. You did good back there at the club. Your heart is in the right place. You're smart. But you could have gotten yourself killed 50 different ways back there.

Mama's necklace, yeah? I'm keeping it close to my heart. Because I'm going to find her. That's probably too many feelings for you. But me, I don't care. Because I'll say it. I love my mama. I love her. You going to Greenhaven? So am I. With you, I prefer. But without you, you better believe Marcus Baptiste would do the same thing. Bayou's my backyard. You might have been to all these places. Bangkok, Tokyo, Palestine.

I know you think you can go anywhere and do anything you like, but there's no place like this. You hear me? And look at that more rings, man. I got some theorists, and I bet you want to hear them. I bet you you can use a guy. Bayou's got thousands of square miles that'll rust those claws of yours and show some quicksame down your throat. And I bet you'd be lost back with... Huh? Talking.

I hope you're done, because I'm done listening. Okay, kid, listen. Back of the club, those bikers. They're cold-blooded. They're working. For Weapon X. You know what that means, don't you? It means we got Greenhaven and Wingard and whatever the hell else in front of us, but we have got a war machine. breathing down our backs. I don't understand. I don't. Because you never talk. Well, you never listen. Then enlighten me, Logan. I'm waiting. Tell me. What is this?

They're a part of a government the DOD don't even know about. Deniable operations and they play dirty. The stuff they get into you never even hear about because they kill everyone involved. And they love mutants. Making them into soldiers. Living arsenal. That's you. Yeah. That's me. That was me. But not anymore. Logan, I understand. But you gotta understand that I'm all involved. I'm not scared. No. But you should be.

What size should you do? He's 11. Yeah, let's go. Hey, Bob. Are you talking to me? Oh, we've... Take off those boots. You're joking, right? No, I'll do it. You better be joking. Take them off or I will. Little man, I ain't doing no such thing. This is exactly what I'm talking about, Logan. That's why I was just... There you go. Uh-oh. Logan, you can't aim beside... Come on. He's fine. He'll wake up with a headache, that's all.

I don't even wear cowboy boots. Strong cowboy boots. I wear cowboy boots. I don't. You do now. Yeah, none of what. Green Haven's in the Bayou, right? South of Lake Petit, north of the Mississippi.
