Episode description

As Elton John once said, it's lonely out in space. Mars is looking a lot better than Earth right about now. Ryan and Sebastian do some housecleaning to talk about some recent news regarding recent passings, including those personally affecting friends of the show, and they soberly acknowledge the coronavirus death toll (which while it hit 100,000 as of recording, it has now jumped to 101,000 as of publishing) and how legacy media addressed it.

This episode recaps some of the LA Times' recent stories analogizing the current crisis and the state of denial in defense of capitalism to the aforementioned blundering Mayor of Amity in "Jaws"... as the tagline of "Jaws 2" says, "Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water." The guys then dive into the culture around self-help gurus and the misplaced trust people have in what can easily be deemed as a secular religion.
