Diet NIMBY, Episode 5 feat. Sebastian Schug
Episode description
Mars on Life cohost Sebastian Schug joins the Diet NIMBY team to talk about his experience watching Season One of "Santa Clarita Diet." The concept of identity – within the Santa Clarita Valley and identifying with the quirkiness of the Netflix series – is widely discussed, along with the city's cannabis business moratorium, subjecting one's life to the mundanity of small-town living and the vaguely direct (or directly vague?) references to the actual town prevalent throughout the entire season. At long last, Matt reads his dra-MATT-ic reading of his Daily Bruin review of "Santa Clarita Diet," followed by the most important question we need to ask ourselves: are we judging this show too harshly?
This has been a stressful but rewarding experiment. We have no plans to continue on with Season Two of "Santa Clarita Diet" but fret not. There's one more special Diet NIMBY discussion coming soon.
