Diet NIMBY, Episode 1

Welcome to Diet NIMBY. Santa Clarita Valley residents Ryan Mancini and Matt Fernandez provide culturally concise commentary about the 2017 Netflix series "Santa Clarita Diet." This miniseries will take a look at the inside humor within a show based on an expansive, thematically "small" town and where the series converges with the stereotypes, caricatures and idiosyncrasies one can find visiting the region and meeting its people. Ryan and Matt share some of their own experiences, as they will through the next four episodes as they dissect Season One two episodes as a time. Is this a comedy horror? Does the series demand its overwhelmingly positive reviews? Does Timothy Olyphant pull off being a comedic actor? How meta does the series get when addressing SCV's darker open secrets? All will be explained, discussed, exasperated and revealed in this deliberately short-lived series. Beware all ye who enter.
