Episode description

This week's show concludes the avenue of American political and historical quizzes with The Campaign Trail, another free online interactive quiz where players can strategically campaign for the American presidency – and maybe win? It's not an exact science, as playing as the historically losing candidates may assure defeat while playing as the historical winners...also assures defeat. Well worth checking out, we recommend playing it and choosing which pivotal election you think you can win (watch out for Hubert Humphrey).

But we start the show with the dark cloud that's hung over this podcast since Season 1: coronavirus and, more specifically, the ongoing quagmire that is vaccinating an ignorant American public. Ryan gives his account of dealing with some local idiocy and how little difference there is to having empathy with those he's lost who were unable to get vaccinated while Sebastian "Absolutist" Schug attempts to grasp this person's idiocy.

Think you can play as Stephen Douglas or Henry Wallace by winning a presidential election? May the odds ever be in your favor and play The Campaign Trail at https://www.americanhistoryusa.com/campaign-trail/
