Episode description

Susan Harmon was born in Chicago to an Army counterintelligence officer and an actress. Susan lived in and occupied Japan as a child as well as in Arkansas in the 1950's and San Francisco in the '60s. She was an activist and supporter of human rights throughout her life. Susan Harmon passed away last weekend and Mantz & Mitchell feel like they lost a dear friend. Not just a radio friend (and she certainly was that) but also, they lost forever, at least on this side of the veil, the opportunity to spend time with a true lover of humanity.

As a tribute, Mantz & Mitchell bring you their last interview with Susan Harmon for your enjoyment and edification and as a way of sending a big "love you" as Susan Harmon makes her new home in Heaven and that place where the sun always shines. May she rest in peace.

In this encore presentation originally aired March 11, 2023, Gary and Suzanne welcome back Susan Harmon to engage in a thought-provoking conversation about how military veterans are treated after being wounded in action. Then in the second half, celebrate Susan's 80th birthday as listeners call in and wish her a happy birthday!
