Hey everyone , this is Mariana of Mommy on a Mission podcast Listen . Earlier this week , I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing one of my dear friends , my coach , Mikhaela Degen . Mikhaela is a proud mother , author and speaker who wears many hats , just like most of us right .
Her debut book , Dear Fearless Woman , you were created for more A Journey to Healing , Letting Go and Finding Purpose , is definitely a must read , And I say that because I read her book , And this book inspires women to overcome limiting beliefs and embrace their true calling .
Mikhaela is also an empowerment coach who helps women to redefine their story and let go of past pain to unlock their full potential . Growing up in a dysfunctional household herself , Mikhaela understands how hurtful this can be for a young woman's growth .
That's why she founded Fearless Mughed , a movement dedicated to empowering women to break free from their self-limiting beliefs and generational beliefs that hinder them from fulfilling their divine purpose . If you want to learn more about Mikhaela , she is at the Fearless Mughed podcast on Instagram . She also has an event coming up July 13th in Fort Worth , Texas .
You can go to FearlessMughedcom forward slash events And you can also find her podcast at Fearless Mughed . She is the host And let me tell you , all this conversation was so on point . It is definitely something that we wanted to share with you all because we believe that it is our duty to help other women and fix another woman's crown .
So I hope you enjoy today's message . Hello , hello , and welcome to another episode of Mommy on a Mission podcast . I'm your host , Mariana , And , as always , I am so honored and grateful that you have joined me today on this podcast . Listen y'all . I am so excited .
I mean , you have no idea how excited I am because I have Mikhaela Deegan , who is my amiga , my friend . She is also my coach . I mean the story that we're going to share with you of how we got to know each other and where we were one year ago when we first met , to where we are today .
It's like , oh my god , you guys , you need to have a sisterhood like this , because amazing things do happen when we do come together and we can collaborate with one another . So , Mikhaela , hello , girlfriend . How are you ?
I'm good . I'm good . I just want to say thank you for inviting me and then just being so real . I'm so grateful .
In this season I was telling one of my friends last night there's been this beginning of the year has been so complicated Like that's the best word I can say complicated , messy but I've learned some valuable lessons that I don't think I would have learned any other way , and what I said to this friend of mine was girl , i have seen who my real friends are .
Listen , as a podcaster , you know , i'm not like super famous . I know a lot of people , though , but to say like , these people are like my ride or die . They're my sisters . They're not trying to fix me . I can be real with them .
They don't expect me to be a certain way because I love Jesus And they've seen so many different not different persons of who I am , but just different because I feel that I'm kind of like a chameleon , right , like , let me . Let me kind of explain this . That's why we connected . Yeah , let me kind of explain this .
Like I feel that in I can , i can adapt , even when my season is hard , even when I feel anxiety , even when I don't know what the heck is going on , and I can be real with myself about , oh my God , my childhood trauma is resurfacing , or like what's going on ? or hey , girl , you're kind of messing up here , what are you doing , right ?
And so when people can see those different layers of you and still love you , and then they can and I saw this before it said I think I saw it on Instagram Everyone's not annoying to be your friend .
Yeah , and I took it in this way that everybody can't , everybody can't just be real with me and tell me , hey , you're messing up , hey , that's not a good idea . Only certain people can tell me that . And I could really be like dang , you're right , you're right .
And now I'm almost 40 , gone through a lot , right , i'm in a place where I'm literally telling myself , girl , you better do something that you've never done in your whole life And that's actually listened to the wise people around you that God has put around you .
So all that to say that we need women who are going to be real with us , but they're not going to try to fix us . Yeah , they're going to meet us right where we are , and so I wanted to say that , because it's so refreshing when you can find those women that they're just real , and you're one of them , ariana . So that's why I said all that .
Oh , thank you for that . No , and I , you know , i feel the same way And I know exactly what you mean about you know being a chameleon , because you know we're not , we're not famous people , but we have this thing about us that we can just blend in with anybody . And you know , we , we just know a lot of people , we talk to a lot .
I think it's because we're both talkers , so y'all just disclaimer you know we both talk a lot , which is probably why we're both podcast hosts .
We're both really smart too . So that's that . Well , not not to sing like in an African way but , when you're really smart , you always have something to talk about , because you read a lot , you research a lot , you've lived through a lot , you've made a lot of mistakes . We just talked about one of mine earlier , before we recorded .
We're not going to talk about that , but see that . But that's where the wisdom comes when and the realness right . When you could be like , you were like how are you ? and I'm like girl , how much time do you have ? So I think that I think that's why we talk a lot . I think that's why I talk a lot .
And we have a lot in common , though , too We both love our cafe .
We both love our taquitos , we both we enjoy pretty much a lot of the same things , and so , you know , that's one of the really great things about friendship and and when you start allowing yourself to meet other people . And so , just quick history of how Mikaela and I met .
Actually , last year , on July 8th will be one year that I actually launched out mommy on a mission And I was just researching other Latina coaches , live coaches , you know , i wanted to see what they were offering and how they were doing their websites and all that .
So I was just doing a lot of research , right So I could be able to target the right audience , for which I already kind of knew what I wanted to target . However , and so I was on a walk , and it was one of those days that I was still researching and I was like you know what ?
let me listen to , let me see if I can find a Latina life coach on a podcast I don't know . And so I stumbled across Fearless Mojhead podcast , the Fearless Mojhead podcast . I was walking with my dog banded and I hear this girl with the squeaky voice talking , but y'all , let me just say it just sounded very , i mean , it sounded very genuine .
It sounded very authentic . It sounded very real , so real that I was actually walking my dog Answering me Kyla , talking to her as if we were already friends . And I'm like , yes , girl , i know , yes , exactly , that's what you know . And I'm having this big old conversation . Mikhaila does not know me from anybody , i don't know who she is .
And so I'm like you know what ? Let me go ahead and face Facebook , stalk her . No , i'm just kidding , i wasn't , i was doing my research , that's what we call it . You know what ? let me follow her , let me see what she's about . And that's exactly what I did . And then one day you were promoting Your , you were promoting coaching , podcasters .
If anybody was interested in wanting to become a podcaster and I was that wasn't even on my radar , but I just wanted to reach out to you and tell you that , yeah , you know , i would like to learn a little bit more about that . And Because somebody had already deposited that seed , so I was like , yeah , let's talk about it . And then , lo and behold , we .
I Sign up for this podcast . Not just that , i drive all the way to Fort Worth , texas , from Houston to go to her book launch , and I mean and from there .
That's when it just Started here We are today , a year later , and yes , and I was like , dang , this girl is coming from Houston , like , just , you know it didn't . I'm not like a person that gets flattered . I'm not a person I always ask God , like I think the way I grew up has made me a very humble person .
But I also always tell God , like , because people compliment me a lot , and I Tell God like , don't let me see what other people see , because If I , if I continue to just see myself as this normal girl , as this girl That's just walking in her gifts , right , i Feel that I won't let things get to my head because I think it's easy , it's very easy ,
especially in today's society . But Yeah , when you , when you came to the party , because I was on on behind the scenes , i was very nervous . I was like , oh my god , who's gonna come ? like it was this whole thing , that imposter syndrome , right , that a lot , a lot of us Latinas go through . And it's no different because you see us on IG or whatever .
I'm very good at what I do until people think that I don't have , i don't struggle with certain things . But all that to say that I realized , man , my story has really impacted a lot , a lot of women and it was that book that and I know we're gonna talk about your book today It was that book that made me understand that because I had .
See , i'm very Protective of the people that message me , because I know that I talk about very hard things , right , and so I'm not that kind of coach or Podcaster that will post every single message that I get And it's it's bad . And it's good because , business-wise , i'm not really showing that social proof .
But I also feel that I'm not doing it for that , i'm doing it for God . He knows , he knows what's up right , he knows who's , he knows what's going on right , and that's all . That's all the validation I need , um , but I had women tell me like I'm gonna confront my abuser , i'm gonna confront my mom because she didn't protect me .
I'm gonna find like women were finally finding healing because someone had the nerve to talk about this , right , and I'm talking about sexual abuse , and so all that to say that we don't realize That when we do the hard things , mariana , it literally sets other people free .
It does you know , and and I want to share that because People see oh , wow , you have a podcast . That's so cool , right ? I'm sure women have said that to you already . Oh , my god , you have a book . That's so cool , especially when you're Latina , because I think what's the stats ? 4% , i don't know . It's a very low number like that of Latina authors .
So when you're doing things that a lot of people are scared to do , it's like wow , you're so cool . And that's why I made a post a while ago , like don't look at what I do , look at the God who has founded , gracious enough that I would do these things . Yes , you know , and because I messed up , i fall short .
The word of God says a righteous man falls seven times , gets back up .
So all that to say , just for the people that are listening If you aspire to do those things , don't think that you can't do those things right because you've messed up , because I'm still messing up and learning , you know , and I just I just felt to say that because I I feel that someone needs to hear that Absolutely that limiting belief , that like I can't do
that because of where I come from . You know what I mean Yes , yes , yeah , and , and I think , i think that's why- I admire you so much because I know you've been through a lot and I know that's why you're real as well , but it's such a beautiful thing to see , like wow , she wrote her book . Like it's . For me , it's just like .
I just love like seeing women do those things because it's like There's a story to tell . I'm not sure if you're interested in that . I just love like seeing women do those things because it's like there's a story to tell you know . Yeah , i'm done now .
You're fine and you know what , but that that just tells me , you know because it's it's a testament , right that We could fall short , and we were just talking about this a little bit earlier that you know , we all fall short . We all fall short and we all make mistakes , even I , you know , and , and we all do .
We all make mistakes , but God uses all of that , all of that in order . Was I thinking about writing a book ? No . Was I thinking about having a podcast ?
No , all I was running to do was launch out my life and career coaching , because that's what I had been doing for the last 13 years and I posted , i think , a video And someone said , wow , do you have a podcast ? because you've got such a nice soothing voice and stuff . And I'm like , uh , no , you know .
And then that's when I stumbled across you know , you and stuff . But it's the things that Perhaps we have had , these dreams of ours from our past life took us on a journey .
We Forgot about those dreams , or or perhaps we had them in the very , very back of our mind And we felt , because of those limiting beliefs , because of the lies , because of the things that we had endured , our think our thought process was actually I'm not going to do any of those things , you know , like , that's not going to be for me , that's not for
people like me . You know you have to be this or you have to be famous Or you have to have all of these things in order to be able to , to to be able to do those things right . And then You stumble across people that are going to share their story and say , no , girl , like , these things are possible for you .
You can do these things , you can accomplish these things right . And that's where The gathering of the sisterhood begins , because now you're redirected to women who have actually been able to overcome Their past hurts , their past failures , their past whatever , and and they've been able to move forward . And guess what ?
now They're able to teach those things to , to people , to us . And then what happens is it becomes a domino effect . We have one person telling us we have . Then we're positioned to be able to do that for others . Do we still make mistakes ? Absolutely , we're still gonna make mistakes , because we still have lessons to learn .
We still have lessons that we need to learn , because there's still things that we need to learn for ourselves in order for us to continue to do the things that God has called us to do , and so that's one of the things that I'm so grateful for and I'm so excited .
So , y'all , we're just having this very candid conversation because both Mikhaila and I are now well , i am now a published author . Yeah , that is so exciting .
And I got to meet Mikhaila when she was having her book launch and I was just so excited because I was like , oh my God , i get to be an author and she's gonna sell my book And I still have that book .
And to know that here we are , you know , almost a year later , and it's now my book launch , and I get to have my Amiga , my friend , come and speak at my book launch , because it is on July 21st . The book launch , the celebration of my book , is coming , but it's coming a week after I go to Fort Worth .
Hold on , hold on pause , pause , right there , Okay , okay , don't just slide over that like softly . That is so exciting . I think that , oh my God , it's such a big deal .
And I used to have like this false humility , right , like , oh , it's not a big thing , Like I struggled so much with celebrating myself and my accomplishments and I always would say like , oh , i'm doing it for God , no big deal , right .
But let me just say this okay , The dedication and the discipline it takes to sit your butt down and write and write when you're triggered and write and keep writing , and I mean the discipline that it takes , because I can tell you I had no social life .
I just wrote , wrote , wrote , wrote , wrote , right , and then being a woman and juggling things and being a mom , and so it is not something to take lightly what you have done .
It is a very , very big deal And as authors , we aspire to like be New York Times bestseller and all that , but sometimes it's just that milestone , that man , i know my story , i know where I come from and I did this thing . I mean , obviously God was in the center , right .
So it's a big deal , mariana , and so for I know I'm gonna be sharing this conversation on my podcast .
Guys , go to her book launch because it's going to be so inspiring , right , it's going to be a time of really being empowered And I think for you , mariana , if anything , it's like , wow , look what God has done , because we talked earlier about how we're always evolving , right .
So the Mariana back then right , that was going through all the stuff she went through . If she could see who you are today , wow , what a powerful thing , right .
And it's also an example to our daughters , right , the young generation to see like , wow , because I never knew an author , i never knew anyone as a little girl that looked like me , that talked like me , that like , wow , you wrote a book , right .
And so I think it's just such a beautiful thing to show your daughters that like , wow , you know , yeah , look what my mom did . Yeah , i know where she , because I'm real with my daughter . My kids know , man , i don't have a squeaky queen background . I got baby daddies . I grew up in the hood .
My kids know that I was not this perfect kid , i didn't grow up in the church , and I want them to see , right , hey , you can go through a lot , but you can make the choice . Excuse me , you can make the choice to do good things . So I just think like man , this is not , it's not a little thing .
No , and you're right , you know it does take a lot . And what's so crazy is that I've had people say , man , you wrote your book very quickly , you know , like you got it written and out there . And here's the thing . It may have seemed like it was real quick , it may have seemed like I just wrote it all out , you know , and got it published really fast .
And the thing is I didn't talk about it . Only very , very , very few people , miguel , knew about it . But no , no , i mean , it wasn't something that I shared . You know I didn't want to share that . Why ? Because one I wanted to for sure know that I was going to be able to write it .
And I only told a certain people that I was going to do it because I wanted that accountability , you know , and I wanted people to ask me how's it going and stuff . And you know , because of you , i got to meet , you know , another wonderful author , janine Hernandez , who you know was able to help me through that process as well .
So you know , kudos to her for all of her hard work too . But the truth is that book was written a long time ago , you know . I mean that book was really written a long time ago because it was my life journey And so it wasn't like I was just writing . I had to go back and dig through my old journals .
Wow , and really , you know , because sometimes with any trauma , you know , the brain has a way of blocking your hurt . Right , the brain has a way of blocking those things that have occurred in your life for a reason . A lot of that is for protection of ourselves , you know .
But in going back and reading those journals and reading certain chapters of my journal , it did some feelings resurfaced that I didn't realize that I hadn't dealt with yet , and so I had to really take that time to dig deep in all of that and readdress some things . And there were times that I would walk away because I was like you know what ?
I'm not gonna write this book . Nope , i'm not gonna do it , i'm not gonna do it . And then I said no , i have to do it , And you know I would pray to God and God says no , this is a story that you need to , you know , to share , and I'm so thankful because in the way that I shared it , it's not like a memoir I'm not talking about .
it's a guide , it's lessons learned , because it's gonna take you from where I was to where I am today , and what did I do to get there . You know what did I do to get here , where I'm at today . You know those step by steps , and that's , you know , one of the good things about that . And so my daughter , who's 14 years old , actually read the book .
Wow .
And I asked her . I said so what do you think ? And she goes , mom , i liked it . I said you did , she goes . Yeah , she goes . I really , really liked it . She goes because I like that you took your past and how you made things happen to change and be a better person today for me and my brothers . And I was just like in tears .
I didn't cry in front of her when she closed the door . I'm like , oh my God . I did it . But you know , it's that feedback And so , at the end of the day , it's like you said , micaela , we don't do this .
Yes , we do it because we want others to get this message , but when we can demonstrate and speak to our daughters through our books so that they can , you know , because it's one thing when we're talking to our daughters , right , and we're talking to them and we're telling them stuff , and they're like , oh gosh , whatever , mom , you know , there she goes again
telling us about it fast , but it's when you can write it in a way , and they're reading it and they're like it's like something in them clip right And that's ultimately , at the end of the day , that's the message we want to send And so thank you so much for those words , but at the same time , you know we're here to celebrate each other and the same goals
. For you , micaela , because I read your book , is you know , i read . You haven't read mine yet , but I've already read your book And your message is really very in a similar format . It's a guide , it's a tool , it's your lessons , it's things that you had gone through , all of the things that you had gone through , and not just you .
But you know the reason why you wrote your book and explain to us again . You know , for those that don't even know about your book , talk to us a little bit about how that became . You know about you know , that you were able to write this book .
Oh man , i did not want to write that book , like I didn't . I actually I don't know It's crazy because I had gone through a life-changing event in the beginning of the year for those who follow me on social you know . But I had posted a vulnerable post because the only cheesemade Cher is my own .
But I wrote that book and I was reading chapter one recently because I was going to kind of take a little snippet from it and like make a post out of it And I was like dang , like I need these words in this season . It's crazy , but you know so my book is Dear . Fearless Mohed . You were created for more .
Like I tell people , everything over here is Fearless Mohed , but I love that , that like ?
oh , yes , like you know the whole .
It's part of a brand , right , but it's also the voice of mommy on a mission , right . So I love that . But you know , i really wrote my book because that's what God had put on my heart . But I specifically said to God I'm not going to write it until until you tell me exactly what it's going to be about .
And I had gone to this podcast conference a while ago maybe like almost three years ago And that's where God really spoke to me exactly what it was going to be about . And I did not want to write that book . I really really didn't , because it was very painful to write it .
I had to stop for days , just like you , always , like I'm not doing this , i'm not going to do this . And even when the book came out , i was like , oh my God , what have I done ? Like people are going to read this and why did I put my pictures in there ? and like all these things that I was going through .
But you know , i really I really wanted people to understand that the book is a little bit about sexual abuse And I had to write it in a way where I didn't tell my daughter's story , but I said it through the eyes of a mother and a daughter who really , in that moment , i had my identity wrapped up in my family right , and who my dad said that I was .
And so I think that a lot of times as women , we do that , and I . It's really a moment of relearning who God says that you are , and I think that in every season you go through , you learn who God says that you are . And so the book is . It is . It's a . It's about sexual abuse . It's about waking up to who you are .
It's about healing , which a lot of times we're afraid to heal , we're afraid to confront things about ourselves , we're afraid to be real with us , with ourselves . But it's not until we do those things that we are able to be who God created us to be , because people are going to tell you who you are . Relationships are going to tell you who you are .
When divorce happens or a breakup , the woman tends to be like it's me , i'm not good enough , i'm not worthy enough , but at the end of it all , you know , there there is someone who God created you to be . But things happen right . People don't fit together . Sometimes People hurt us . Unfortunately , sexual abuse is not something to take lightly .
And when you're a mother and your child tells you that , like I needed that book when I was going through what I was going through .
Because because for the mother who's listening and I'm sorry if this is triggering , i don't mean to do that But for the woman listening who's been through it , who you know it's happened to you or your mom and you know , you don't know what to do , because you know that when you speak up about this , you already know people , people are going to come against
you Because nobody wants to talk about those things , and that was my situation .
So for me , really being fearless it's not about not fearing , it's about fearing less , because in every season you're gonna and it's really from the scripture of you know in the Bible that God didn't give us a spirit of fear In every season you're going to have fear , you're going to have moments of fear , and so I just wanted to share that , because when I
talk about being fearless , you know it's not because I'm not fearful , it's like I'm fearful but I'm going to do this anyways , you know .
Oh yeah , absolutely . I mean , and I agree with you , which is , you know , one of the things that that I loved about it , because you know , i too , you know I'm someone that you know was molested by , you know , by a family member , and it's hurtful , you know .
So when I got to read your book , it's like , well , like you said , you know , that's a book that I wish I would have had back then , you know , when I was younger , and stuff , and so that's what I loved about the book that you explained it and you talked about it .
But you spoke about things in such a way that we could resonate with it and not feel ashamed , because I think a lot of times what happens is when we are victims of the things that happen to us , we feel ashamed of ourselves , and then we feel like other people are looking at us with that same shame , right Yeah , and or that they're pointing fingers at us
like we had , like it was our fault , like it was our fault that these things happened to us when , in reality , we were children , you know , and there was no fault in that . It was , you know , and I love that you also spoke because you know you talked about you know why should we protect the person that hurt us ?
You know , when it became that moment , when you know you had to bring it to the forefront , you know , and you spoke about that , it's like , no , i'm not going to protect that person . You know why am I going to be silent ?
Why am I going to you know , not say what happened just because it you know it was somebody that I know , or that it was a family member or whatever . Oh , because that's what we tend to do . We tend to protect the abuse , we tend to protect that person that hurt us , and yet the person that is suffering , where's their protection ? Where ?
is their voice , and that's what I loved is that you were that voice for your child and we , you know , we become those voices for the voiceless , and that's and that's what I love .
It's that you know that we can share and give a voice to the voiceless , to those women that are afraid to speak up , to those women that are feeling ashamed , that are feeling embarrassed , that are feeling vulnerable , that are feeling like they cannot come out of that pit .
And that's going to be my message is , you know , rising out of the pit , because that's what we end up . We end up staying , and I'm not going to give a lot of a way of what I'm going to talk , but I feel like it's . I'm so excited to read it .
I know I'm like , like . I want to see this .
Oh no , i love it Because that's what happens is , when we become hurt , when we become attacked or targeted or whatever , and in our innocence or our mindset gets continuously pushed down , we end up getting pushed down into a pit that we feel like we can't get out of .
And the truth of the matter is is that we can , and all we need is that one person to reach down .
And you know , reach down and say , here , i've got you , i'm going to pull you out of this pit , but it takes that one person to be able to do that , and then , when one person comes along , another person will come along , and it's just like when you see it being saved , you know you're like , yes , yes , that's what we need .
And that's exactly what my message is about , what your message is about . It's about reaching our hands into those pit and helping these women get pulled out of their mess . Yes , yes , i love it . Good things . And and that's what I love because , even though you are a podcast host , i'm a podcast host , you're an author , i'm an author .
You're an empowerment coach , i'm a life and career coach . It doesn't matter , and that's what is so crazy about the fact that we're friends is that it's not a competition , it's not because , oh , come talk to me because I'm a life coach , and don't go talk to her , you know , or read my book , don't read her book . You know what I mean .
And it's like no girl , it's like we got two books , girl , you want them , yes , and it's like , but it's gonna be for whoever feels connected to the way the message is being delivered .
You know , not everybody is going to receive a message from me , not everybody is going to receive a message from you specifically , but it's going to be wherever , whoever God is using in that moment to be able to deliver . And then the beauty of it is that coming together where we can embrace one another . And that's why you all , we're talking here .
We're talking about this sisterhood , this gathering , because come July 14th , right 13th- You know what I said you wanted to be on Friday , girl . I know .
Thursday is good , thursday is a good day , yeah , yeah .
July 13th in Fort Worth , texas , we're going to the rise girl , rise gathering , and it's going to be just that . It's going to be muhattis gathering and talking and just sharing stories .
It's just embracing and allowing for other women to finally get to that point where they can finally let go , let loose and receive the message that God is going to deliver to them so that they can be delivered from their past hurts , their past pains , and they're just past in general , right .
And so in Fort Worth Texas , if any of you are listening and you want to go to this gathering , please , y'all , y'all don't want to miss it .
We're going to have some great women of God that are going to be there , that are going to be speaking , but at the same time , we're just going to have candid conversations , just like we are doing right now , and it's going to be about that giving that opportunity to come together , sit and I like how you call it cafecito chats , because what do we Latinas do
? We drink coffee . And so that cafecito chat and just have conversations and embrace one another . We're going to fix each other's crowns .
I love it . I know I do too , i love it .
I've been counting down the months and then counting down the weeks and it's just so crazy because both of us are planning these events and we're trying to get . We've had some things happen in our lives that we had to take on some other things and try to do all of this , but you know what , together we've been making it work .
and the month of July y'all , this month of July it's going to be popping because we're going to have two events . You've got one in Fort Worth and then you've got one here south of Houston .
So if anybody wants to come and join us and hear more of our conversations , please I encourage you Come on our websites , go to our IGs , go to our Facebook pages and just connect with one of us . You've got two opportunities to receive such wonderful messages .
and , for those of you who are going to be in Fort Worth , my book is actually going to be at this event .
Yeah , i was going to say you're going to be there speaking and it's not Again , it's just , it's the hey , come sit with your sister , let me pour you some coffee , let me give you something to eat . Right , and let's talk , because I think a lot of women go through things but they don't always want to talk about it . You talked about shame earlier .
They don't always want to talk about what they go through and we need those settings where we purposely are intentional with men . There's too much going on here . Or I'll share this really quick Sometimes you've parted from toxic family and you have things that you're celebrating and you're like , dang , i really don't .
I wish that person was there for me right now , but I know they're toxic . Those things happen . I experienced it When you can't celebrate your accomplishments with people or you have family that hates on you , like , let's just be real , right .
So we , when you were talking earlier about you , know you're a coach and you're a podcaster and you're an author it's like I always say that when we lift , when something powerful happens , when we lift each other up , and that also shows a sign of healed women , right . So what we're really talking about is gathering .
It's healed women gathering together , because when you can talk about your mistakes and you can say girl , i don't care what you did , this is for the listeners . I don't care what you did , i don't care if you're messing up , i don't care if you're ashamed because you're doing something you're not supposed to be doing , i don't care .
I just want you to know that God loves you , that he has more for you , and we're not here to judge . We're here to be like what are you good at , girl ? Write your book . You want a podcast ? let's go Right . And that's the empowerment that happens when you gather with healed women . But I didn't mean to take over , i just wanted to share .
No , no , no , no , girl , you know us , you know us .
We do what we do .
We do what we do . It's just like hold on a minute . I know like when I want more dancing , who's gonna lead ? I'm so used to leading .
Like my turn .
Right , right , right . No , this is all good and this is what it's about y'all . This is what it really is about , and I'm just so , so glad and so thankful that you actually took time of your busy day to be able to join me today .
It's that pain now . I'm not my pain now but it's all good .
Oh , that's all right , girl , that's all right .
I'm mopping , but let's go .
Mariana , thankfully nobody's gonna watch either one of us . I'm so glad because , look , i'm having a six birds right now . Good , no . So seriously , y'all you know , don't be afraid to go out there , Don't be afraid to take chances , don't be afraid to live out your dream , because , at the end of the day , that's what it's about .
It's about , you know , going out there . I speak a lot about this in my podcast and it's about you can still dream . You can still dream , you can still live out your dream . Is it gonna look different ? Absolutely , because I wanted to be a journalist and I wanted to interview people and stuff . But guess what ? Here's a platform right now .
It's fantastic .
I wanted to be a journalist and a writer . Guess what ? I already wrote my book . You know , and this is what I'm talking about . You know God's going to . You know , allow for your dreams to happen .
They're going to manifest in the way that he wants it to manifest because , at the end of the day , when he has it already prepared for you , it's going to happen . You just have to allow for him to deliver it in his time . His time is always perfect and he knows exactly when it needs to happen .
And that's why I'm so grateful and thankful , because this was the time I had to go through some things before I could even begin to do the things that I am doing today . And you're right , you know we are not the same people that we were once before And sometimes we have to step back one minute , you know , just to be reminded of how far we have come .
And that's going to be the same for you , ladies who are listening today . It's do not give up And guess what . You now have two new .
You know women in your lives , such as myself and Michala , that if you need to speak to either one of us and you want to reach out and you want to learn more about what Michala's life has been about and what her book is about , you know you can reach out to her . You know , guys , we have to cut it short because if we don't , we can be on forever . Yeah , we gotta go , And that's just how we do Every time we talk we end up talking for more than what we need . I know , but it's good .
