Episode description

The latest mission Mama is a little different than my other guests (in a good way of course). I'm speaking with a Melbourne Mama that has created a product based business that is driven by heart and purpose. Karen Wasson is the owner of Cocooned where she has created accessible and inclusive clothing, designed for children and babies who have undergone surgery or receiving medical care. The innovative design of the clothing means that it has an adaptive nature that provides easy access to medical lines, drain etc, without having to fully undress the child. Through thoughtful design, Karen is on a mission help make life a little easier and less stressful when a child is going through surgery or treatment in hospital. Karen's drive is inspired by her own personal experience with her daughter Sophie. She'll share this story with us all in the episode and also talk about the experience of developing a product in an industry she knew nothing about prior. Let's meet Karen.
