Episode description

Gena Thomas is a writer and advocate living in Tennessee with her husband of 10 years, Andrew, and their two children. After living as missionaries in Mexico for four years, Gena now writes books and works as an instructional design specialist at a nonprofit that equips local churches with a theology of holistic development. Join us as Gena and I talk about her new book and the incredible true story which birthed it. Weaved in with the telling of this story, we also discuss immigration, the crisis at the border, the foster care system, transracial adoption, and white savior complexes.
