Day 203 || Avoiding Coded Language

The better you get at communicating openly and vulnerably and clearly, the better everyone around you can get with understanding you where you are now - and the less confrontations you’ll be stuck with. 

You simply add more stress, more chance for confusion, and a higher potential for confrontation when you avoid discussing things openly and honestly. 

Instead of using coded language to communicate - say it once and say it right. Never shrink yourself to make others comfortable if it’s safe enough to speak up. And notice how you feel when you do stand up for yourself. Even before you receive a response - you’ll feel powerful. Channel that power in everything you do.
