Deaths In Custody

Dr. Roger Mitchell is a national expert on deaths that occur while in the custody of law enforcement and has served as an expert in many high-profile cases. He currently is the Chairman of the pathology department at Howard University College of Medicine and is the Speaker of the House of Delegates for the National Medical Association which has a membership body of 50K Black Doctors.Dr. Mitchell is the Former Chief Medical Examiner for Washington DC.  He recently served as Chairman and lead author among a group of nationally recognized forensic pathologists tasked with making recommendations for the Definition, Investigation, Postmortem Examination and Reporting of Deaths in Custody for the medical examiner/coroner community.
