Anthony T. Browder on Cultural Appropriation
Feb 16, 2022•22 min•Season 1Ep. 516
Episode description
Cultural appropriation is not a new concept–and as Anthony T. Browder explores in today’s Black History Month episode, it demonstrably stretches back to Kemetic ancestors. Today he and Mark look at how Kemetic symbols and history manifest in modern day imagery and how they’ve been appropriated by the culture-at-large. Anthony is an author, publisher, cultural historian, artist, and educational consultant. He is the founder and director of IKG Cultural Resources, as well as the director of the ASA Restoration Project, and has devoted 43 years researching ancient Egyptian history, science, philosophy and culture.
