There are three opposing forces in the midst of Jesus being on mission: the religious and political leaders, spiritual forces of darkness, the enemy force from within.
Jesus’ authority redefines our understanding of the Sabbath, and all of God’s law.
Jesus did not come to make sinners conform to religious rituals, but to make them altogether new.
Jesus wants sinners.
Seeing the authority of Jesus should increase the visibility of our faith, cause us to live in the freedom of overcoming grace, and convict us of our unbelief.
