On August 4, 1997, WCW celebrated their 100th Nitro by giving the fans a 3 hour show that capped off with Hollywood Hogan defending the World Title against Lex Luger! This show took place just days before their Road Wild pay-per-view at Sturgis where we would get a World Title rematch that saw this decision flipped. However, it still made for a hell of a 100th Nitro! Also on the card, we saw DDP take on Ric Flair, Syxx facing Chris Benoit, Booker T absolutely destroying Vincent, a laughable tag-team match between Public Enemy and High Voltage, the Giant takes on 3 men, and Alex Wright dances with the Nitro Girls. In the news segment, we discuss who Steven Regal urinated on that got him kicked off a plane in Alaska, Sid sues the WWF, Shawn Michaels needing surgery, the Insane Clown Posse popping numbers for ECW, and some high-profile kidnappings (as a shoot) in Mexico.
