Hello, and welcome back to the Math twenty podcast with me Joshua Fox. On last night's Married at First Sight, we saw female friendships fall apart with lines draw in the Sanders. Loyalties were made abundantly clear. Take a listen to this. I'm not backing Lauren. I want everyone to come together. Then stand up for me too, Karena, We've done our time. We've literally I've had drawback, I've ad everyone's back. Defend me. Maybe, what do you want me
to say? Like, raise my arms? Raight, chill, chill out. My friends have completely dropped the bulk. What started as Lauren machine wearing snob going up against the apparently boganic Jamie soon dragged Karina and Re into it, who seemingly sided with Lauren. And well, all of this was filmed six months ago and a lot of shit has happened since then. Oh and my reference to Lauren being a Sheene wearing snob is no judgment to the fact that she was wearing an eight dollars ninety five Spicy Margarita
T shirt from Sheen on last night's episode. We all love a bagging. It's more the absolute hilarity in the fact that just twenty four hours earlier, she went on this whole elitist rant about Athena only being able to afford nylon hair extensions, which apparently meant Athena was beneath her, because you know, Lauren is used to the more finer things in life. Then the next day she pulls out a holiday wardrobe full of sheen consumer and please make
that make sense. Anyway, As I said, this was all filmed six months ago now, and you're probably wondering, well, who's friends and who's still holding a grudge, And don't worry, I've got the answers for you. But before I get to that, a few of you pointed out something interesting to me that you spotted during the retreat last night that I'm going to be honest, I completely missed it.
And it is the fact that as the Castroole kind of sat there as a group, Paul was holding what looked to be a beer and drinking alongside everyone else. And if you confused why that's slightly problematic, it's because remember my chat with career her on Sunday where she revealed this. At the end of the day, I felt safe and it was up to me Essentially, he was
banned from alcohol for the rest of the series. They gave him therapy sessions every Saturday morning, so there was a lot of things that had to come in in the place for it to be a safe fan That was Karina basically saying that one of the conditions of Paul being able to stay on the show after the domestic violence incident was that he was banned from drinking for the rest of the season. But there he was with what looked like a beer. I can't confirm this.
I'm trying to figure out exactly what the drink is, so I'm going to post a screenshot to Instagram. So can you all go on after you listen to this to help me id what was Paul drinking. Anyway, now back to who's friends and who fucking hates each other? As well as me being told about the present day friendships and feuds, I've actually seen the existing divides and drama with my very eyes, and as far as I can see, there's currently three groups amongst brides of this
year's season. You've got the Core four, the plus ones, and the rejects. So at the center of everything, yeah, we've got the Core four and that is Jamie, Athena, Karna and Ree. They're kind of like the current glue at the center of all friendships. And following the scenes we watched last night, it's no surprise that despite the four of them all being tight, Jamie and Athena add a little bit closer on one side of the core four, and then on the other side you've got Ree and
Karna who seem a little bit closer. But that being said, the four of them are still friends as a group, like as far as I'm told, Jamie has moved past what happened at the retreat, and you know, they're all friends. And then on the outer circle of the core four, I've made that turn up, by the way, but I kind of like it, so can we make it? I
think we've got the plus ones. And there you've got intruder Beth, who seems a little bit more aligned with Athena and Jamie given the fact that I've seen it like hanging out with them more in tickto and just like present day stuff. And then you've got Ashley and Katie, who, as far as I can tell, are kind of friends with everyone, but they're not necessarily as close with everyone.
Mostly given the fact that they left the experiments so early, and also, as far as I'm told, there's not really much drama between all of those brides there, the core for and the plus ones, And you know, it's only naturally, I suppose that over time, you know, some people become closer than others. It's like, did anyone go in Akontikito when you're younger? Because when you do, you're kind of
friends with everyone. But then when you all return home and back to your real lives and you know, these distance between you, some friendships will naturally fade a little bit, whereas some people you kind of just keep a daily back and forth with on the WhatsApp, you know, So that kind of seems what's happened here. As I said, you've got like Jamie and Afina seem closer with Beth hanging with them a bit more than you've got re and Karina, who seem a little bit closer. But then
everyone's still hanging out as a big group. And now we have the rejec the ones who aren't in the group chats, and the ones who aren't invited to the big catchups like that Valentine's Day lunch that I rocked up to And as far as I'm told, the biggest outcasts of this season are Jackie, Lauren, and Sierra, which I suppose comes as no surprise to anyone. Marena also kind of falls into this category, like people are catching up without her and she doesn't seem to be invited
to like the big lunches. But I believe that she's still in contact with a couple of the brides, and I suppose she is like older and her kids and you know, a bit more going on than maybe the younger ones who are going for lunches constantly. And then lastly, we've got Veronica, and she's quite an interesting one because again, as far as I'm told, she left the show with only one kind of real friend who she's still tight with,
and that's Karina. But interestingly, something I'm also told about this year's female friendships is that no one is necesscessarily making people pick sides or whatever like we've seen with previous casts, Like if one bride dislikes another, she's not then saying to her friend, Hey, you can't hang out with her because I hate Like, if you want to be my friend, you have to choose my side, Like apparently everyone's kind of cheer with Oh, well, you know,
I don't like that one. But yeah, you go hang out with her if you want. I don't care anyway. Yeah, there's your update. So Jamie has moved past the retreat drama. She's forgiven Karina and Rey. Everything's good. Goodbye. Oh Also, if you're still listening, I've spent the past week doing another investigation. This one's bigger than the last one. The episode's going to be longer, and one I'm going to reveal in it is even more shocking. Stay tuned, guys,
It's coming very soon. I don't know why I'm whispering. There's no one in the studio with me, just letting you in on the secret. That's why I've not been posting much on Instagram the last couple of days, because this has consumed me. As I said, stay tuned,
