We feature Assamese Soul-pop folk singer-songwriter Sampriti, who talks about instances of colourism she’s had to face in her life, landing a job as a performer on a cruise ship, and writing in Assamese coming to her naturally. Of course, she performs three songs in her signature style that marries Assamese lyrics to Afrobeat and jazz-pop!
