On a dull and overcast morning on Tuesday the 28th of june 1887, a curious situation occured at a lodging house in the east end of London.

The body of a young woman was found on her bed in her lodging house. Her skin was quickly eroding from her face and arms.

What had happened to this woman and why was her skin disintegrating. Furthermore, was the person responsible still nearby, perhaps peering out from under the bed watching the chaos unfold.

And subsequently, what would this murder have to do with the murders of 5 women in the East end by Jack the Ripper which began just a year later.

Today on Macabre London, we uncover the murder of Miriam Angel.
