Episode description
Today Becky and Bevy ring in the New Year by talking about a highly controversial case that occurred on New Years. The Marlborough Sounds were alive with New Year's Eve celebrations as 1998 began in New Zealand. Among the revelers were Ben Smart and Olivia Hope, two vibrant youths caught up in the excitement at Furneaux Lodge.
As the night wore on, the two friends found themselves without a place to stay. They accepted a ride from a stranger who offered them shelter aboard his yacht. The vessel carried them away into the darkness, and by morning, they had vanished without a trace.
The search for Ben and Olivia began at dawn, casting a somber shadow over the picturesque landscape. The once-joyful atmosphere turned into a community's determination to uncover the truth behind their mysterious disappearance.
