We are so excited to have Dr. Thomas Wood on the show today. Dr. Wood is a Research Assistant professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington Division of Neonatalogy. His academic work focuses on developing therapies for brain injuries as well as adult neurogenic and metabolic diseases. He received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Cambridge, his medical degree from the University of Oxford, and a PhD in physiology and neuroscience from the University of Oslo.

In our discussion with Dr. Wood, the topics covered include the root cause of insulin resistance, the roles of insulin and glucose in the body, polyunsaturated fat, which types of people benefit most from LowCarb and which are less effected by eating a LowCarb diet, the importance of reducing satiety and how that can be done,
