Episode description

We are very happy to be joined today by Ally Houston, the founder of Paleo Canteen. Throughout his life, Ally had struggled with mental illness—depression and anxiety—heartburn, and auto-immune problems. Miraculously, he found that eating low-carb helped relieve him of the many things that ailed him. Since then, he has been doing great work to help bring his amazing discovery to the attention of others with similar struggles.

In this episode, we discuss how to eat a low-carb/ketogenic diet on a budget, the powerful effects of dietary intervention in treating mental illness, the science behind marketing in the food industry, and the benefit of having low-carb alternatives to sugary, processed foods when you are trying to avoid going off the rails.
