After participating in a discussion hosted by Nalini Saxena who is the founder of Elicit Consulting entitled, “Connecting the Dots: Against Systemic Oppression and Racial Justice”, I reflected on the importance of learning through listening after hearing the usage of the term, “cisgender.” I believe that learning is a gradual process and the only way to truly inform ourselves, is to understand that we are uninformed.
