After not making his high school team 3 years in a row, Phillies legend Larry Bowa went on to have a 16 year major league career. Bowa, a member of the Phillies Wall of Fame, was a 5x All-Star, 2x Gold Glove winner and the starting shortstop on the 1980 World Champion Philadelphia Phillies.
