Episode description

In this episode, Deborah Keys Write and I have a conversation about the work she does as a national school board consultant. We talk about some of the historical and contemporary issues facing school boards, including diversity, equity, and inclusion. We also discuss the recent national trend of politicizing local school board elections, which impacts their decisions about curriculum; whether or not certain topics can be discussed in classes; and which books cannot be available in school libraries. Finally, we talk about our recent discovery that we are siblings.
