Dr. Tara holds a PhD in biochemistry from the University of California at San Diego and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Her book titled "The Secret Life of Fat: The Science Behind the Body's Least Understood Organ and What It Means for You" goes into detail on how we can finally control our fat by having an understanding of how it works.

Dr. Tara talks about how clever your fat is, fat has a mind of its own, it can control itself and it can control your body. Once you figure out what fat is and how clever it is, it changes your whole attitude on how to go about losing fat.
