Her first novel, L'homme blanc (Kolia in France), has won the Governor General's Literary Award for French Fiction, Québec's "Canada Reads" competition, and the Grand Prix du Livre de Montréal. In this enlightening interview she discusses her creative influences, tells us about the concept of le clown, and she reads from her second novel Malabourg.
