As an RN, Sally Alter has professionally helped people heal. Her desire to help others extends into her writing, and she hopes to make a difference in the lives of others. As someone who suffers from bipolar, she knows how life-altering and uncertain this illness can be. Her book tackles the subject on a human level in a non-clinical way. After answering more than 800 questions on bipolar disorder on Quora, she's the top writer there with 20.3 million views to date. With a goal of continuing to help others, she hopes to reach a whole new group of people suffering from bipolar.
She was born in London and currently resides in Texas with her cat, Greta. When she's not writing, she can be found creating stunning colored pencil drawings and watercolor paintings. She's traveled extensively and even toured the States for six years in an RV. While staying in campgrounds, she taught writing and painting.
At present, she is working on another bipolar book and plans on publishing it in the spring.
