Learning to Love What Makes Me Different with Danielle Prescod

This week I invited best-selling author, 15-year veteran of the beauty and fashion industry, Succession devotee, and secret hand model DANIELLE PRESCOD to hang with me. 

In October of 2022, Danielle released “Token Black Girl” - a refreshingly honest memoir about racial identity, pop culture, and delusions of perfection. 

This hour-long heart-to-heart is filled to the brim. We talked about everything from fibroids and egg-freezing, to growing up as one of the only Black girls in her school in Connecticut, and how that influenced (and maybe even catalyzed) her disordered eating. We dove into how she and her family are coping with her sister’s new role on Bravo’s hit show Summer House, and explored the concept of making peace with the idea of starting a family without a partner… and how that might radically change the experience of everyone desperately “searching” for their other half. 

I can’t recommend this book enough…
