Episode description

Hola y bienvenidos a la 7th episode of the La Voix du LILA – Burbank podcast! In this week's episode Lincoln opens the show with a recognition of National Hispanic Heritage Month and to the many LILA familias who are a part of our community. We also hear from Paulina D'Souza and Lara Lange who are both 12th graders and are our current leaders of the Peer Mentoring program at LILA Burbank. The passion about their work and what the program offers is hard to deny. We were excited to have them in the studio to help us better understand how incredibly supportive our older students can be for the 6th-9th graders. This program is another example of the unique learning experience we have at LILA. If you are interested in learning more, feel free to send them an email or connect with Mylène Bram as they only have a few more spaces available. This opportunity is for anyone who is interested in finding a mentor that knows what it takes to be successful at LILA or simply a big brother or sister to talk to. In the Mosaïque section of the show Ms. Harvey and Mr. Mondange speak about the importance for all Burbank families to fill out the recent survey exploring how the campus administration might consider adjusting online time and other aspects of the school day. And to close out the show Ms. Harvey and Mr. Mondange offer some suggestions on how to enjoy the break with reminders to pick up a book and get outdoors! Enjoy the time the off and see you soon! Lincoln, Ms. Harvey et Mr. Mondange.
