Teaser & Intro

You know, whether it be pornography, to artificial food, to endless entertainment, or to a plethora of physical things that we can't seem to stop consuming. And that's how I believe that we sell our souls. It's not necessarily by actually writing a contract, but it's by every single day making the decision whether conscious or subconscious. That's why people feel lost.

That's why people are on so much medication, antidepressant pills, etcetera, because even though their life may be good from a materialistic standpoint, their soul is suffering. Their soul is crying because it's not being fulfilled, It's not being satisfied because well.

So the sooner you can embrace that reality, the happier you'll be in life because the more you'll be able to cherish the unknowns, the more you'll be able to just truly enjoy the process of being you rather than always looking to other people for validation. So anyway, then this is the drama. I'm not trying to sell you on this idea in the sense of converting you to it. I want you to play with it. I want you to think of its possibilities. I'm not trying to prove it.

I'm just putting it forward as a possibility of life to think about. Welcome back. To the podcast, my name is Diego. I'm your host. If you're new here.

Why "holistic self improvement" is so important

We believe in a philosophy that sort of revolves around the idea of holistic self improvement. That means incorporating the mental, the physical and spiritual aspects of life. Because without a balance of all three, I feel like you will be lost. Like no matter how much you focus on the physical, if you aren't paying attention to the mental and spiritual, you'll be out of balance and you'll feel it. You'll you'll notice little things that are just not quite working out for you.

You'll hit roadblocks more often than find the synchronicities and the ease with which life can be right. Sometimes life can be so seamless, you can move forward and things are just working out perfectly for you. It feels like you're living in perfect synchronicity with the universe. It could even just be something as simple as you think about someone and they message you.

It happened to me last night. I thought about someone and the next morning I wake up to a message from them and I haven't spoken to them in in a very long time. So little things like this just tell you that you're living in alignment with your higher self. So I know it's been a while since I've recorded and I have a few questions from a Q&A I did

When is the community dropping?

on Instagram that I'm going to address. The first one I'll just get out of the way. Someone asked when the community is launching and let me give a bit of a back story as to what I'm doing here in the UAE because it explains why I haven't launched the community. I just haven't had time. I've never been this busy in my life, but as things start settling down, so I start finding a routine and a flow and these new aspects of my life become muscle memory. Then I can start implementing

tasks for another project. If I really wanted to be like a core group of individuals who really believe in the message that I share and the philosophies that we embody so we can all come together and elevate each other in our own unique ways. The next question is, doesn't your lifestyle take a lot of money to keep up?

Why I stopped playing football and how I ended up in Dubai

And the short answer is yes. That's why you have to make more money to experience new things in life. But at the same time, it's not always been that way. As I've gotten older, I've expanded and allowed myself to make more money, which allowed for more experiences.

But in the beginning, you know, I just take the money that I had saved up from working construction or whatever other jobs I was doing and then use it to then go on trial for a football team in Portugal. That's how this all started. And from there, just sort of compounded, met new people, made

new connections. I'd say the biggest lesson and the biggest take away from using your money for direct experiences without anything material in return right away is the mindset shift that you have when you come across people who are operating on a frequency that you didn't even know was possible. And it's being exposed to these people, to these situations, to the circumstances that I feel like it's priceless. Like you cannot pay to

experience that naturally. So two years ago I came to Dubai on a whim because my friends who I met through social media, so how far, who was also documenting his journey to becoming a professional footballer, told me that he's coming out here because he had an opportunity. That opportunity wasn't for me and I knew that, but I also knew that when I'm around people, like minded people who are operating on that frequency, amazing things happen.

He also mentioned to me that he had a project in mind that he wanted to work on with me and his business partner. And to make a Long story short, I took what was most of my money, came out to Dubai with no opportunity, started working on that project with him while also networking and creating trial opportunities for me when the season would start in a few months. So from there, I got 3 trials. I failed two of them and the last one, I think a week before

the transfer deadline. I signed with a team and I'll Fast forward two years. I'm here again because he took that project, which was sort of disbanded after we both signed and played that season, and he decided to turn it into a professional football club instead of what we were doing before, which was that but on a much smaller scale. And he's been building this for almost a year now. And I've just joined a month ago.

Before that, I was in Portugal helping my brother secure some football trials because he's also a footballer. I'll talk more about my story later because I actually got a question asking if I would share more of my story on a podcast and I will and I want to. I've been meaning to, and we can go deep because this is just touching the surface of what I do with my life and what I have done to get to the point that I'm at now. I always thought that I would

take football further. That's what I dedicated my whole life to. My life just sort of pointed me in this direction, and I'd already kind of decided that I wasn't going to continue pursuing football in the way that I was before. After Dubai in 2023, when I picked up an injury, I had a tumor in my right tibia in the bone. It was a benign tumor, so it's not cancerous. And it was causing me a lot of

pain to run. I remember the funniest thing when I went to the doctor and I got a scan, the doctor was like, yeah, I'm not really sure what this is or how it happened or how to get rid of it. And I was like, you can't do surgery. They're like, no, it's too dangerous. There's no, there's no point. Like it'll just go away on its own most likely. And I was like, OK, well, there's that because it's too painful and I can't play. So I guess we just figure

something else. So and you know, eventually life brought me here after giving more of my attention to social media. OK, so for the next question, can you draw me a diet plan or some guide that might help me

My diet and how I have optimized it

with my nutrition goals? And I'll just give you some tips right now, but in the near future, I definitely will have a product like this, whether it be a grocery list that you can easily refer to when it comes to shopping, you're just like, OK, I need this, this and this. And then with these ingredients, I can make this recipe for me. It's the simplest when you don't have to think about making food, you want that to be as seamless

as possible. And I understand the value, so I'll definitely create that once things settle down in my life right now. But just a very easy tip is try to eat this close to as many whole ingredients as possible. For me, I don't overcomplicate this. Like I eat a lot of dairy, a lot of Greek yogurt and kefir raw if

possible. But a lot of the times when you're travelling or even in the place that you live, you might not have access to a farm that does it in a clean and Safeway because you do need to make sure that it is clean and safe. The reason why things are pasteurized is because bacteria does form in unsanitary environments when you're milking a cow, right? So you want to make sure that it is done properly. Don't just get any raw milk or yogurt. And then I eat a lot of berries,

like blueberries. Frozen is fine is make sure they're organic too. You don't want pesticides to be sprayed on them. And then nuts like walnuts. I love honey. Obviously raw honey is a staple in my diet. And then grains like wild rice are what I go for, you know, first. But if I have to, white rice is OK. I I try to avoid it though. And then foods like sweet potato, squash, yams, pumpkin, I love. I, I, I rate these so highly. They are so good for you.

And usually people don't have any issues in terms of digesting these foods. And then sourdough bread I have occasionally. I stay away from nut butters though. I generally tend to not want to include them into my diet. They just don't really serve a purpose in my opinion. I get my fats from other places and they're not such a high source of protein that it's so important. If I eat nuts, it'll just be like a handful of walnuts or and this next question is quite

interesting. It says how to change belief

How to shift deeply rooted beliefs

system. I'm just going to assume that what you mean by that is you have a set of beliefs that have been implemented into your life from a young age that are difficult to sort of deconstruct and reimagine, which is fine and normal because as human beings were always being conditioned by

someone. And the problem is that not everyone, and I would even argue that no one other than yourself and maybe your mother and father depends on your relationship with family, would have your best interests in mind. And I mean truly want to see you win more than they want to see themselves win. Like, it's a very difficult thing as a human being to actually want that for someone who isn't directly tied to you. You know, this sort of unconditional love, and you shouldn't expect that from

anyone else. Knowing this about the world, you can then assume that your outlook on life that has been curated over the years by external sources is not actually in your best interest. This is where you then you need to be self reflective. You need to have moments of solitude. You need to meditate because you need to understand why you think the things you think, why you do the things you do and deconstruct it from there.

Like for example, let's say I have this certain outlook on life that I didn't even realize has become a habit, but it actually doesn't serve me because maybe it's objectively pessimistic. Noticing when that kicks in and why and what triggers it is in a way therapy, but for yourself and being able to strengthen this muscle I think is the key to any form of success in life. You have to be comfortable being alone and also have a really deep understanding of your

minds. Otherwise you're just going to be at the mercy of everyone and anything else that you come into contact with. In my opinion, this is where self-confidence really comes from is having a deep understanding of who you are, right? Because when you have a foundation that's strong, there's nothing that can really shatter it, right? Nothing external. So if you want to change belief systems, it begins with meditation.

It begins with being alone, understanding who you are, why you do the things you do, why you think the things you think, and mending the disconnect and the distance between that and the person you want to be, the things you want to think and the things you want to do. But ultimately it's up to you to actually take action on becoming that person. And it's a process that's going to take a lot of time.

It's going to take every single day doing one thing that moves you forward and towards that goal, right? It's that compounded over many years that will actually have you seen results? This next question I like quite a bit and it's I don't have a girlfriend, but all my friends

Why you don't need a girlfriend (or boyfriend)

do. When you want to do things because other people are doing them, or you want things because other people have them. Ties into the previous question quite a bit. It comes from a lack of knowing who you are and what you want. Because if you want a girlfriend because your friends have one, then you don't actually want a girlfriend, you just want to fit in with your friends. Think about that. It's delusional, in my opinion, to think that your path should be the same or even comparable

to anyone else's. You're unique in every aspect, you know you're an individual human being and your life experience and your circumstances are going to reflect that. So the sooner you can embrace that reality, the happier you'll be in life.

Because the more you'll be able to cherish the unknowns, the more you'll be able to just truly enjoy the process of being you rather than always looking to other people for validation or even trying to find validation from yourself in the chronic comparison to other people's achievements. It's really dangerous to go down that path, it really is. This is why I always say if you want to attract like minded people into your life, you have to first level yourself up in

mind, body and soul, right? You need a mental, physical and spiritual challenge every single day to then get on the path. Elevate yourself to that frequency of other people who are doing the same and from there you'll magically cross paths. I can't quite explain how I've met the best people I have in my life. I don't know how I've come into contact with them. I can't deconstruct it in a way that makes sense materialistically, but it's happened.

The only consistency is that it's happened in times where I've been most aligned, like for example, when I came to Dubai two years ago. Like I said with Sohail, how did we meet? I was focusing on myself. I was improving myself as a footballer, I was showcasing my

journey on social media. I was learning that, and I was also really tapped into the spiritual side of my life and building relationship with God. There was no intention of me being like, oh, I want to be good friends with this other guy on social media. It just happened naturally as a

byproduct of my existence. And I think life is most beautiful when amazing things happen as a byproduct of you existing and not just existing in a state of neutrality, but existing in a state of constant progression. Because not only does the universe love when you are bold, when you are a courageous human being, when you take risk, but it also loves when you take action. The universe loves speed and momentum. The more you give, the more you receive.

And if you give with good intentions, you'll receive with equally good intentions. I might actually want to backtrack on the fact that I said it equally because I also believe that when you give with good intentions, you receive exponentially and in a sort of rebounds and creates A symbiotic relationship between you and the fundamental laws of the universe

that expands into the infinite. And that's what I mean when I say tapping into the highest state of being as a human and you can experience that not only with the immaterial universe or in your relationship with God, but also with other human beings. That's why I often say the phrase we ascend as one because to ascend alone is impossible.

In order to really elevate yourself to those levels that you see the highest performers operating on, you need a circle around you of like minded people who are also dedicating themselves towards that goal and have that higher purpose, are living purpose driven in their life. So the sun is setting, we're running out of daylight. I'm going to do one more question and I think I saved the

best for last. Why are people nowadays getting away from religion and the path of God, especially the younger

Have the younger generation turned their backs on God?

generation? And this is something honestly that I could talk for a long time ago. That's why I wanted to save it for a podcast, because for 60 seconds on an Instagram story does not do this justice and I can't quite explain my point of view. That's another problem I have with social media is the fact that everything is in small bits and pieces. You never actually get full context on someone's perspective. So you make a judgement based

off the snippet that you heard. Unless you have patience and in my opinion, are operating on a higher frequency. And you can listen to podcasts because it takes a certain type of person, someone who wants to really learn, not just have the satisfaction from the illusion of learning that you might get when you scroll through Instagram videos. I really believe that this material world is inherently

spiritual. We're all spiritual beings having a human experience, which implies that our interactions and the things that happened to us, whether they be seemingly good or seemingly bad, are all a part of a spiritual war for our souls manifested in this physical realm. My own philosophy on life and our purpose here is that this is a test of our free will, and we keep coming back until we learn

and truly understand that. And an aspect of that is creating as little karma or physical bonds and ties to people and circumstances and things as possible. And until that has been reduced, then these chains that keep us here are released and we move on to the next plane.

And I myself have never experienced this, but I know people who have developed such a profound meditative practice that they are able to go within and see these different planes of existence as they leave the material body and are allowed access to these realms. And there's gods on every plane. Not God, but there are beings and deities who impose themselves as rulers of these different planes of existence. And there are souls trapped on each one.

But this is a conversation probably for another time. I need to learn more before I really speak fully about about this. Maybe I'll have someone on at some point who can speak from their own experience and is comfortable doing so. I think that would be a fascinating podcast. I love talking about this sort of stuff because it gives so much purpose in the day-to-day life. You know, it makes me feel so alive because it's like, wow, there's so much more than just

this. It really makes me excited to meditate. It makes me excited to devote my life to God and to doing good and to selfless service because this really just becomes an illusion. And you really see it as that. But to be honest, you need to have an understanding of what after this to truly let go of this physical world. But there's another paradox, right? Because you can't fully let go.

You have to still exist and operate as a human being, but you can't let yourself get too attached, otherwise you'll forget what's actually important. But anyways, I digress. Back to the original question. The reason why the youth, I think, are targeted so heavily in terms of separating them from their creator and from having any sort of faith in a higher power is that ultimately, because there is a positive force in this world, there is a

-1 as well. And this -1 aims to keep us here, aims to have us forget where we came from. And it does so by capturing our attention, by utilizing our free will against us because it itself can't do harm to us. We are children of God. We are the crown of creation. We are the most powerful beings on this physical plane. And it understands that the only way to condemn us is for us to condemn ourselves. That's why there's such an abundance of hedonism in this world, you know, whether it be

How we sell our Souls everyday (accidentally)

pornography, to artificial food, to endless entertainment, or to a plethora of physical things that we can't seem to stop consuming. And that's how I believe that we sell our souls. It's not necessarily by actually writing a contract in such a linear sense, but it's by every single day making the decision, whether conscious or subconscious, to focus our attention away from God, away from what's, like I said, actually important.

And you'll notice, and it's it's encouraging this world to focus on yourself in a purely selfish way, to consume as much as possible for your own gain and benefit, to distrust your neighbor, to not have empathy for other human beings.

And it's an accumulation of all these subtle details, these subtle shifts in culture and in mindset that sort of create where I believe we're headed, you know, an era of transhumanism, a phase of life where we become so interconnected with technology that we actually become less human. I mean, it's already happening. I'm recording on a camera. I have my phone on me always. That's how I communicate with other people. I have no idea how to survive on my own if it weren't for

technology. Like, when you open your eyes to this reality, you start to see how it's actually already happened. Most people need a good reason to get outside. I mean, Dubai is a great example of a city designed for exactly that purpose. If you have enough money, you don't actually have to do anything. When you live in Dubai, you order everything to your door, and if you want something sent to someone, you get someone to take it to them. You can communicate with people on your phone.

If you need to go somewhere yourself, you just go down your apartment to the basement, get in your car. Your car transports you to that other place, most likely a building. You go inside the building, you go to the room where you meet the person, and then you reverse that, right? What part of that sequence were you outside? Were you under sunlight? Were you experiencing nature? It's very easy to become disconnected from God when you're in a metropolis like Dubai. It's very easy to sin.

It's very easy to lose yourself in worldly temptations because that's ultimately what you're surrounded by all the time. And we become our environments, whether it be the people that were around most or the places we spend our time in, you become what they represent. Because nothing in life is linear. Everything really is metaphorical. And you can boil everything down

to a paradox. So I'm not saying that it's an individual or a group of individuals that are trying to take our souls from us as human beings. But I believe that human beings are corrupted by this negative energy and as such do things that are in alignment with its agenda rather than God's agenda. And because of that, you see certain things played out in this world that reflects exactly that. Well, that's where you come in. That's where you need to be very steadfast in your values and

Your highest purpose as a human being

what you believe in and be that beacon of light for everyone that you come into contact with to take as an example of to how they should live their life. To me, this is the most spiritual way of living your life is to be a beacon of hope, right in a world that can seem very oppressive. Even if there's an abundance of things to consume, it's oppressive to your soul to be that stimulated.

And that's why people feel lost. That's why people are on so much medication, antidepressant pills, etcetera. Because even though their life may be good from a materialistic standpoint, their soul is suffering. Their soul is crying because it's not being fulfilled. It's not being satisfied because you aren't paying any attention to its existence. So be that person that inspires. That light in the next, and to be honest, that is the purpose

of this podcast. That is the only reason I create on social media at all and ever have. Doing anything else pales in comparison to the importance of that mission. And I'm not here to preach one religion or another. You can have your belief systems. I have mine. My relationship with God is personal, but I'll still speak on the core fundamentals of what that relationship looks like.

Because ultimately you can take those messages and those philosophies and implement them contextually into your own life in a way that works for you. And I pray that you find yourself amongst the right people in this life and you all get to experience the beauty of pursuing a goal, pursuing that higher purpose together. I pray that you ascend as one, and I also pray that you have the wisdom to recognize that if you are not around those people, that it is best not to cut them

off, but to distance yourself. Not for the sake of distancing yourself from people to seek isolation, but just as a byproduct. Remember, we talked about byproducts of your existence, but just as a byproduct of you focusing on challenging yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually every single day. And I talk about this because I know because I've been there. I've been in those circles where you don't feel like it's where you're meant to be.

Listen to your gut, listen to your instincts. I'm telling you it's worth it because the worst thing that could happen is to live out your days and to experience as gift that is life as a human being and to look back on it and your decisions with regret. There's nothing worse in my opinion, when my battery's about to die, the sun is set. I think that wraps up the podcast. I want to thank you so much for tuning in. I promise that these are going to be consistent.

I I really do. I'm going to set a valve for myself to make sure that I get one up every single week. So if you have questions, if you're listening on Spotify, there's an option to leave a question, but my e-mail is also in the description and you can also DM me on Instagram, although the odds of missing that are much lower. God bless and we ascend this one.
