I am honored that you were part of it. Just by being a listener. In this episode, I will briefly share with you what this podcast is about. How it was created, what to expect in the goal of this show. So let's start with who I am. I am your host. Candle locket. Yes. My mom actually named me Candle. C A N D L e. I am the founder and writer of candle locket dot com, a personal finance and real estate investing block and one of my favorite books, The One Thing by Gary Killer. He identifies that behind every successful person. Is there one thing? Well, my one thing is real estate. I love learning about it, investing in it, teaching about it, rehabbing, finding deals and talking about rules. So one would say that real estate is my passion. So I hold a real estate and broker's license. I flipping whole properties in Georgia and in Tennessee. I've been a real estate investor since my late twenties. But when the market crashed, so did my business. So I remained in the classroom as a kindergarten teacher until I saw the opportunity to begin investing again. I rebuilt my business, and now I'm helping others do the same. So this show was created with a purpose, right to serve. Let me tell you the story of how this show was created. So are currently mentor to college students. One day, at the beginning of one of our meetings, I was asked what I have been up to that morning, I replied, Oh, I was just on the phone with one of my best friends who's a real estate investor, and we were discussing strategies on how she could get some land she wanted to purchase and zona for mixed use, which means that she wanted to retail on the first level and put residents on the second level. My mentees response was Wow, I wish we could have been a fly on the wall and heard this conversation. It was an ah ha moment for me, a saw, a need and an opportunity to change lives, especially theirs. Well, now, with his podcast, they can hear those conversations. You. Our listeners were here. The conversations with experts in the field of real estate from the real estate attorneys, Realtors, general contractors, investing consultants. And, of course, you will hear from the real estate investors. Did you know? Currently in the U. S, 7.7 million households are millionaires. 90% of all millionaires own real estate as an asset. Well, you should be one of them. My goal is to shine a light, almost real estate investors who flip develop Onley, Airbnb, these apartments, mobile homes and more. Some have been in this business for over 20 years, some a part time. Some are just starting out and their strategies are working and they're successful. No matter the experience will if it investors are always learning and have a story to tell. You will hear those stories on this show. One thing about investors. We love to think big and look for new opportunities. We're always striving to reach another level. It is my goal. Through this show, we share our strategies and vice losses, wins our step by step systems and even the first deal that changed our life so we can inspire you our listeners, to live on another level to investing in real estate. Well, state investing, to me is the most amazing journey. But it is not for everyone. It takes planning, patience, taking risks, time learning, researching money strategies, a team. I mean, you're why must be embedded in your brain. I could go on and on about the needs to be a real estate investor, but the effort you put in is worth the reward. Investing is a path to a long term wealth. We're leaving assets to our Children's Children is a retirement portfolio. It could be a pass, a stream of income used to pay your monthly bills or even pay off your student loans. The possibilities of making money in real estate are basically endless.
