Episode description

Trudy J Smith is a North Carolina writer, best known for the cult classic, WHITE CHRISTMAS BLOODY CHRISTMAS, The True Story of the Lawson Family Murders of Christmas Day, 1929 as well as her subsequent book on the same subject, THE MEANING OF OUR TEARS. Trudy was born in 1953 in rural Piedmont North Carolina to Doris Mae Wade Jones and M. Bruce Jones. In 1990, she and her father, M. Bruce Jones, collaborated to publish their first soft cover book on the infamous Lawson Family murders. Mr. Jones passed away in 2001 and in 2006 the second book written by Trudy which is 376 pages was published and has become the definitive reference for information regarding these murders. In 2010, Trudy took the writings, musings and memories of North Carolina native, Jessie Huffman, and created the book, HOUSE OF PETTICOATS, a funny, fun loving, sometimes sad but always interesting look at growing up in the 1920's in North Carolina.http://www.trudyjsmith.com (http://www.trudyjsmith.com)
