Steve Olson is still skating after all these years. Jock, artist, raconteur, world traveler, Skateboard Hall of Famer, Olsen has many hats to wear and stories to tell. The dad of Nike skateboarder Alex, he can bask in his son’s achievement and his own legacy in a sport that’s going to the Olympics for the first time in 2020. We talk about the history of skateboarding, how he survived its ups and downs, his emergence as an artist as well as his little known attempt to make it in the financial world selling futures.
