The Lamb Comes

They asked John, “If you’re not the Messiah, Elijah, or the Prophet, why are you baptizing?” John answered, “I baptize with water. But someone you don’t know is with you. He is the One who comes after me. I’m not good enough to untie his sandals!” This happened at Bethany on the east side of the Jordan River. John was baptizing there. The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him. John said, “Look! The Lamb of God! He takes the sin of the world away!
