Welcome to the Life success and legacy podcast. We're glad you're here here and we hope you enjoyed the episode. Hey everybody. I wanna welcome you back here to this episode of the life success legacy podcast. I'm Chris Bay part of the Ls ssl team, and I am so very, very excited to introduce to you all 2 of Ls sells Fab. We have pay 10, Taipei pay, Hi. And we have Nino gonzalez. What's that N? Chris, man. How's it going? School really well. Thank you guys for taking time
to join me today. We've been doing more... We've... On a series here of interviews that we've been doing with some of our clients, and you guys have been some of our favorite and best clients at Ls ssl. And so I wanna introduce you guys to our team or to our listeners. But then I also... You guys are working on a project, a a cool little project that I want our listeners to listen to because as you all know, we stay in our lane. Like, we resist the urge, of the shiny objects that are out there.
Right? We work really hard to stay in our lane. You 2 and knowing your personalities, you have no lane. So we make the most your lanes are, like, 8 wide, and they're rolling all over the place. Right? We're like water. With Exactly. You just flow. Right? 8 So let's get into all that. So first of all, let's just do a quick little intro, for those of who of you who don't
know. 1 of our team members Mike Kwan, pay and Mike are married and have a beautiful daughter, talented and brilliant daughter Jackie, who they're involved in some college preparations right now. Right? Actually, yes. We just met with her high school college adviser this morning. Just wanted to get some information and see if we are on the right track, and we show our So, yeah. Confident a hundred percent there. Yeah. So... Yeah. We're definitely in the in the hot seat here as far as,
you know, being a rising senior parents. So Yes. Deck? That is a a busy time of life having gone through that twice myself. We are close to graduating in December our youngest. So, I think we will actually experience a raise come 20 25. For congratulations. Yes. We are about to actually get into a a dip funny? Yes. You are. Absolutely. And Nino, thank you for joining us. Nino, and I got to hang out at
the... Well, a couple different times, but I was primarily thinking of the, Nelson Ash institute think tank, where you and I had some conversations, especially 1 in particular that we had in the hallway that really impacted me. I'm really excited for if our listeners have not, don't know of Nino. He is a fascinating that driven motivated individual. And what pay and Nino together are creating is really a gift to people in general if they're out there looking.
Or our listeners, what I would hope that you would walk away with today is because Ls ssl stays so much at our lane, you're gonna get an opportunity with what Nino and pay our offering is to get out side that lane a little bit and expand your mind in some different areas. Okay? So, first of all, for you guys, tell a little bit about your project that you're working on. So we're actually doing a a podcast, and the podcast title is going to be
finding financial fitness. And where this stemmed from is, so pei and I met, I would say, hey and Mike where my mentors when I got into Tar. Luckily, they were in the Houston area, and I got to pick their brain, plenty of times they were so open, so willing to kinda let me in. And from that, stem a really good friendship and and relationship with the 2 of them, got introduced
to Ll llc that way as well. And so from there, we was let's brainstorm storm Let's strategize, and I saw a pay moving at this pace that was in sync with what I was doing. I said, okay. Wait. Pay wants to try this. I'm gonna try that. Pay wants to try this. I'm gonna try that because there was there's so many things out there, and I love how pays trial by error. Right? If she fails. She fails, if she succeeds, then she
succeeds. So I got I got a chance to really get to know her very well, and we we move on the same same wavelength. And we built a lot of success by partnering together in a lot of investments that we've done. We've had a lot of very, very deep conversations about essentially what it all means. And there was times where Pei and I've been on planes, been on walks, been on drives, where we just have deep more tactical questions, tactical conversations, but also more deeper questions and deeper
conversations. And then Well we go to our pot logs and when we talk about it on our infamous Whatsapp chat, people were saying, oh, I wish I would've have been there. Alright, I wish I was a fly on the wall. I wish I could've have heard that. And I find ourselves multiple times when we meet with people, repeating a lot of the same information that we've had conversations with multiple times. Yeah. And I got... To thinking... And I figured it, hey, why don't we just record basically our
conversations that we're already having. Our strategy sessions, our deeper strategy sessions and released that to people because the... We had gotten a urgency a need for people wanting to learn how to do... How to implement Ib with the income snowball with the 10 other things that we're were doing. Maybe they wanna pick on 3 of them. So for us, it was let's let's try... Let's try it out. Let's have these conversations, and let's peep let have people get into our brains a little
bit and see. What our strategy is like and and what we're about, but also why we're doing it. Does that sum it up bay? Oh, yeah. And, you know, we are complete open books. And I think... This is true. That's that's part of why our pot or our our meetups are so successful because we don't hide anything. If there's something that we try and didn't work out, we'll let you know. We'll be the first to let you know.
But yeah, that's that's the the goal of doing this is to not just share, like, the technical spreadsheets and stuff. Those that, I mean, just plenty of those. Things out there. But, like, it's some emotional attachment To money that we're just also tackling ourselves. Right? We all have things things that, you know, at layers and layers of of, you know, of reactions that we we have 2 things, more information that we have to analyze as ourselves as well. So we're like, why not?
Open it up so that people know what we're thinking, Like, literally open our brain up, and let people see what's inside. Right? Nothing too hide. When I love that, that that authentic, transparent, sharing. I reminded... I mean, we do. We all have a relationship with money just like we do with food, Right? Mh. We have a relationship, and that can be healthy and unhealthy, and now I'm talking outside
my lane. And this is where I need to lean into Nino on that piece, which we're gonna come back to that, but Pay Reminded this morning I was talking with Haley David Sc, and she said... And I say, what was it like when you first met Mike and
pay, and you went to their home? And she said, You know, the very first thing you walk in the front door and you look to the left and what would be a dining room is actually almost like a an office or a faint tank, and the entire wall is filled with this whiteboard and all of your ideas and your moves and everything that you guys are thinking about and doing and planning and all. She like, you can't escape it. And and I've experienced that with you guys
too. And what I love about it is 1, it shows we're wide open here, and we're we... We're ready to engage and have conversations and share and think, and what can we build together? What I also love and with you and Nino, and and I would use the term Gal sizing, you too are Gal. Mike Eb has that you unique ability that genius also is that sizing people are you're like magnets. People are drawn to you. You're like that that bug light. Right? Like... I'm the mosquito and I just can't avoid
you pay, Nino. I I see you guys, and I just have to fly towards you. Right? Hopefully he know what's that. Yeah. Exactly. Without the app. And... But what I love about you guys is you're doing it simply to share. Like there's no expectation of any... Anything. You just are sharing what you guys are doing. And I think your pot looks are an example of that. So, yeah. So Nino, your podcast, you it's finding financial fitness. Right?
That's right. And there is that fitness piece of that And and so I'm wondering if you... For our listeners would share a little bit because that's a big part of your life and what you bring to this and why that's a piece of it. Can you kind of connect the dots for people?
Yeah. Definitely. And I think, hopefully, we... Chris, you and I'll be able to have another podcast where we can kind of give my background a little bit, but just a very clear summary of it is I come from the world of, as a. That that is what I was by trade and still currently am I was around the the fitness, the body in the world, the sports as a soccer player, basically my whole life. And what I noticed was...
When I became physically fit and getting ready for a body building show or getting ready for a sports competition. The disciplines required to achieve that status and that ph, those same attributes. I'd later realize were the same ones that may be successful in the financial world And I felt like I was just... I felt that was by accident. And was not intentional. The waking up early, the paying attention to my discipline, my routine, my structure that all translated because that's what I knew.
But then after the fact I realized, wow, all of the same things that I focused on, in the fitness world very quickly translated into the finance world. And so from that, I then learned, okay. Well, I've hit what most would deem financial success. I hit what most would deem on a fitness level successful as well. But what is it all mean? Well it off for Hey quest.
Right? And I... And that always... Because that always led me back because doing a body building show just because you're physically fit, and you might have a 6 pack that doesn't always equate to longevity and living long. There's a difference between health span and span Right? Lifespan is how long you live. Health spend the quality of your life in that duration. And being physically fit at 5 percent body fat doesn't necessarily entail you're gonna live till 95 or a hundred being healthy, both
emotionally and and mentally healthy and happy. And so I realized okay, well I had to start asking that question differently. Same thing in the finance world. Okay. You think money's is gonna solve my problems If I make x amount of money, rates. I'll be. I'll be stress free. But then you meet that number and you realize, wait, I'm still just that stressed if not more stressed because now I have more money and therefore more problems. So How do I address that? So I
think go... The the thing that links up, the 2 of those is the the mental side and the emotional side. And that's part of what we're exploring is I think it's very difficult. Yes. You could isolate 1. What are the 2 most popular books and Youtube channels and podcasts that you're gonna listen to. How to make money and how to get in shape? But very rarely do you see them combined in overlap? And that's where I think our unique niche is is to be able to come in and bridge the
2. Because then if you can... If you can financially succeed and have that same discipline, the translation to your your physical health is in my opinion pretty simple. It's just, hey, let's let's apply these same disciplines. To what you're doing going to the gym or how you're gonna eat. And I love it because that... That's such a unique gap and ultimately it it enhances our quality of life, which is a question that we're all after is how can I live a appian until fulfilled life? Absolutely.
Hey, how does that... That piece for you fit in with that in your own personal life just with the the financial pieces, which you are? Clearly motivated and have success of your own, you and Mike in building your financial future. And then blending in that that health and that call of life piece. How does that come together for you? It's funny before the show we were kinda joking a little bit about you know, I'm a big huge advocate of Ib c. Right?
And this comes from over a decade of being a practitioner or not not as far as a license, but like, an actual life implementation of it. And part of being able to do Ib is you have to qualify. It if if you don't have the health. If you don't have the physical and the mental health, And if you don't have the financial strength and stability to keep these policies going, you're gonna fail.
Right? And a, you can't qualify, be even if you get a policy, you're gonna not be able to pay it and let it go. So, you know, III... This is something personal, but I... I won't bring it up. Like, I had cancer. Right? So I had... Back in 20 19. I had, like, you know, really major health challenge. And that was a wake up call. Right? I put myself on a regimen, and I lost, like, 65 pounds. I still have more to go, but because of that, it just it's always the back of my mind. Right?
Everything that I do, right, all this money that we have or whatever, it's nothing if I don't have the health to enjoy it. Right? If I'm not around when my daughter gets married, Yeah. She got to she got a check, but she... My mom not gonna be there. Right? So Right. In some ways that health part is a big challenge in my own life. Therefore, by hiding it, it doesn't help me. Right? By talking about it by being open to receiving information and help, that's how you're gonna get
better. Same thing with the financial world. If you are in financial trouble or struggling, hiding behind both doors, looking at your negative bank account with 0 near 0 bank account is not going to do you any good. You gotta talk about you gotta go out ask questions seek help.
Find people who can help you. And that's why this podcast kinda means a lot to me because Like, we're trying to get all these information out there because just we wanna share, not just the financial piece, but also, on the health journey. I think if we can change 1 person's life with this podcast, then it's all worth it for me. Yeah.
Well, and I think going going into that, something that I I definitely want people to know and we try to emphasize this on on the show as well is we're not coming at this from an angle of... We've succeeded it. We learned everything here. We're gonna tell you what we've did or what we've done. Wouldn't coming asset raises the bar. Like, all of a sudden, you have to be the expert. Right? Right. Right. And and what I want people to know is that and I, we try to communicate this is
that we are... The questions that we're asking, whether it's to us asking of ourselves or asking of our guests. And is because we're learning, we're on that actual path. If I'm if I'm reading a book, I'm gonna communicate, hey. I'm learning this in the book, and maybe that will be our our... Topic for the day because I'm really just curious about my relationship with money or my attachment style as a child and how that associates with my relationships. I like learning about that stuff.
So I'm going to ask those questions. And so it's it's almost an a selfish way where, again, I go back to what I said earlier, well we're having these conversations, and I have a feeling that from the feedback I've gotten from the community and from friends that people are either a already asking so that was these questions or b don't know
to ask these questions. And when they hear, hopefully, like, when I hear other podcasts when I hear the life success and legacy podcast when I read a book, it makes me ask questions of myself that I didn't know I needed to ask. And so to me it allows me to reflect and be open to to feedback of, again, going back to the umbrella word of just living a better lot. Mh. Absolutely. Nina, you you talked about at just my brain just took a little little trip over
here on the side. You talked about your attachment. Style, you've been studying attachment styles, I guess. So my wife actually is a clinical psychologist, and she wrote her dis on attachment theory. Yeah. But it was more as it relates to to female inmates because she was working in the prison system at that time. And recently can actually learn about or actually was listening to a podcast about about attachment style attachment theory, It picked up 1 of the books just learning about it. And
It's not... And I won't go too much into the detail of the actual attachment styles of of each of the major 4. But for me, it was learning about, okay, as a child to be behaviors that I learned, whether I was avoided, whether I was attached, those styles then translate into my my current lifestyle. And for me, personally, the way I am when it comes to food
or finance or anything really. If I have a clear understanding of why I am the way that I am, it allows me to make improvements because I need I need I need that to motivate me. That's why there's this therapy concept called Db. So dialect behavioral therapy. Which is behavioral based. Right? They're Cv, which is cognitive and dialect, which is Db. That's more about behavioral and and understanding the why, which and that's what I like to do. I wanna know okay. Well, as a child, I was raised
this way. This was my my relationship with food. And that's why as an adult, I still have these remnants of that as a child, and therefore, if I can understand why I can make the improvements, which will make the improvements from my current life, but also moving forward. And that takes a lot of intros spectrum, which is challenging
for sure. But if, again, if we can open that up and ask that questions of ourselves, people, if we're showing that we're vulnerable, we're showing that we're going through the same things other people are going through despite our blanket term of success of what others might call us successful, Well, it just shows to normalize that, hey, This is a conversation that people... That people at off aces are having. 1 of my... Favorite definitions of success is the pursuit of a worthy ideal.
It's the pursuit. It's not the arrival. It's not I'm there. It's the pursuit of a worthy ideal. And so it it... It's that we're always evolving. We're always on that journey and it's worth... And we're pushing towards a worthy ideal. I would imagine if we asked each of you individually, we're Know, what is that worthy ideal? I know I have my own definition? We all have... What are... What drives us? What gets us out of bed in the morning? You which goes to, like Blue
zones research. Right? 1 of the 9 factors of these folks who live to be a hundred years old and older, and they're still writing bikes and participating in community in chopping wood and all these things. 1 of those factors is having a reason to get up in the morning. It is purpose. It is our why. Right? And I think the 2 of you probably have very clear definitions of your why, you do these things. You know Chris, there's...
It's funny you that There's this... I I've read this book, and there's this concept in Japan's. And just fresh on my mind because we're leaning to Japan in a couple weeks. It's E e guy. I key IKIGAI still learning how to say the word. But it's finding that purpose. And you mentioned that it's pay and I, you know, we think you think we have pretty clear visions and identities. And I would say that for me personally, part of the reason why it I love this podcast at doing the podcast
is because I'm actually searching for that. I don't have a clear definition of that. So I'm on the opposite side where I'm looking for that because I've I've reached success for what most people would deem successful. In terms of going to college, getting good good job, retiring from set of job, having enough passive income to cover my life lifestyle expenses having being financially free. You know, these are these are what society deem to be successful.
But now that I have all this time on my hand, we'll now able to start being intros and not doing things because I need to do things because my parents or society has told me to, but now asking myself, what do I really wanna do? Like, what genuinely drives me. And that's part of what this this journey is is identifying and asking that question that when you're working... 10:12 hour day, you can't... Get don't off time because you need to put food on the table. You're not thinking about what to
my. My wife is I need to survive. Yeah. Right? So it takes that level of of wealth and understanding and intros intersection to get to that point and ask those deeper questions. Oh, yeah. I mean, when I quit teaching. Right? I actually didn't even realize it at a time. But I think I went through a little bit of a depression period where back depression, but, like, just kind of a low because all of a sudden, I lost my friend circle
Right? Everybody else is working, and I had to really find a reason to... Of course, I have to get out of my daughter and stuff, but that's that's that's it. Right? She's out to to to school, what what am I doing with the rest of the time. And it was through a lot of, like, walking meditation and conversations with Mike. I just dragged him out for a walk with me and. Yeah. And that helped me kind of re center myself. Like, I found what I wanted to do. Right? And it wasn't financial related.
Right? It was actually just I wanted to share my journey, my Rbc journey at the time because that was all we had. And then after that, we have the whole dips, you know, evolution and all that kind of stuff we could talk about that later. But Yeah. It was definitely when you lose that, it's it's hard. Your identity shifted.
Yeah. Yeah. I experienced a little bit of that, when I stepped away from my education career, and and, I mean, just being authentic, it felt really good to say that I was a principal, being first generation to go through college to have my teaching, it experience and then be a principal for 13 years, like it was an identity that I put on my cell and what was interesting is people people love because they're familiar with education and what a principle is and then so they can talk
about that. When I stepped away from that, and I became an Ib c coach. What I found was if I'm at a gathering, a social gathering, whatever, people would not ask me about what I was doing. They... I don't know if they were afraid I was gonna sell them something or they just didn't have the context to know how to talk or what questions to ask, but people stop asking me about it and even even family. Stop asking me about it. So I went through a little bit of that identity shipped as well,
and it can be really hard. Yeah. But We know when we push through those difficult times, growth happens. Right? That those friction points. If we'll push through that friction. Then there can be cleared in and freedom on the other side of it. Sorry paige. And that's why I was saying that when you know... You know, we were throwing around this idea of doing this podcast? The name, right, the title of the podcast, why it is an action verb. Right? It's finding. We haven't found it.
With finding. We're still looking, and we down this journey, we don't wanna be alone. We want... More people searching with us. Right? Mh. We're not saying that we we know, like, exactly like this step 1, 2 and 3, follow this and
you're for sure be there. Right? Here's no guarantee like that in life, but we're just saying, like, you know, we have already kind of been digging ourselves, like, and also together, we have being, like, just kind of being on this journey for a little bit maybe longer than others. And so we're just hoping that through this podcast, we can get more people involved. Well, kinda like a movement, if you wanna call it that. Right? Like that. Whole pressure.
Right. No pressure already ring. But... But, you know, the whole fire movement... What is what does that stand for? An financial into financially independent early. Right. And I'm sure. That was basically what it was. Just someone who had, like, this idea and be like, hey, why don't we share this idea and get more people involved. And then before you know it, It's a whole movement. Bertha. Absolutely. Nino, I'm I'm I'm struck by an idea. And you talked about Eu.
And this idea that we attract people into our lives to help us. Do the work that we need to do. Experienced a little bit of that with your wife. Oh, I mean, I I think that I think that I've experienced that with the biggest people that have had an impact on my life, But it wasn't... I don't think it was necessarily what I was going out and searching for. It's what I ended up finding. Yeah. It's... It it was the same thing. With my wife as it was with pay
with Tar in general. It was those content where... I was searching and I knew that I needed something different. Like, at the time that I met my wife, I was going through a transition of getting out of school, becoming an actual diet, but also be becoming in a adult in the world. The Right. I I met my wife pretty young. We... I was 21 when I met her. And that was such a transition period for me
and to to... Have somebody who would is very comfortable in their own identity and pursuing obviously, the field of psychology on its own, it's it's a challenging field because you have to be in tune yourself in order to help others in in in my opinion. And so she was. And so it's it's funny You mentioned that because the the impact that she had on my life as a result of just that meeting that happened stands was it allowed me to blossom. And it was very similar to what I met pay in
Mike. It was, okay. Well, I'm stepping into this financial world, and I kinda feel like, I'm not sure what I'm doing, but then they open up their arms and say, hey, I think what you're doing is fine, be yourself and go for it than I just take off. Right? It's having... There's nothing more powerful than having somebody who genuinely believes in you. Not says they believe in you, but actually has the action to say that.
And that's where now we're pay an I at that point where if we can share that, Yeah, We can meet with people at our pot at a community event, but it's limited to whoever could make it. You know, yeah. People have it flown into pays pot from from all over their country, but that's still limited. So now the message could be spread through a video through through and like Pay said, if we can we can impact the lives of of 1 person per podcast of 1 person for the whole
show. Well, great. We've we've done what we've set out to achieve. Because I know that there's somebody out there, and there's gonna be people out there who are trying to figure that themselves out, trying to figure out their identity. Trying to figure out their why. And we could help kinda of fill that gap and hopefully, inspire and and and let people know that, hey. There's a whole another world out there if you if you wanna go out and get
it. Yeah. Both of you have reached, as you said, you know, that level of, that people would say is success. Right, Financial success, blah blah blah. Right? And and so for our listeners, I mean, I I can't hammer this home enough. You're not doing this, like, for necessarily for an additional income stream. This was really the child of Oh, this is 10 x thinking, like, this people are asking us. We're having this conversation over and over and over again.
How can we make it more accessible to them? Right? So rather than having just these pot that face to face and not everybody can attend, Let's just put... Let's open up our brains as you said, let's put it in a podcast and then people can have access to it, which I think's is a fantastic idea, Hey. I have a question for you. There was a documentary I saw. Watched it a couple times. Years ago. I think it was called happy.
And there was some research in it where they tracks people's, joy or happiness in their lives, and they intersect that with material possessions. And what they found in their research is that to a certain level of material possessions, there was happy. There was a correlation to happy. In fact, if you... The example it says, if you come out of the woods and you're naked and you're wet and you're cold. And hungry. And someone gives you a blanket and put in front of the fire in a bowl of soup.
Does your happy meter go up and Oh, it does. It absolutely does. But what they found in their research is that the more possessions that in material possessions, etcetera that you have, the actual opposite
occurs. And I think there was something you said earlier that referenced that where it was almost like, like now that we've got this stuff, and Nino, I think you referenced this to now that we've kind of achieved this, like, you almost had this inversion of, oh, now, I've got more stuff that I could worry about or lose. The standard of living or whatever.
As you pay for you and Mike, as you guys have experienced is coming from, you know, being teachers, and struggling and raising a family and trying to build a build business and doing real estate and all these different learning adventures Has that been a part of it at any point where you're like, I don't know if I feel as happy, and I've got all this other stops? I think the potential of it could be there, except that we didn't we didn't start. Like, we live very, like,
modest. We show Hyundai, man. Not nothing wrong with On base, so I love them, but we didn't... Like, we didn't start spending. Like, I was telling Nino, Like, we have to practice. We've been for for years. We've been so disciplined and, like, we gotta earn the money. We gotta invest our money and, you know, that that muscle to spend the money shrunk. Right? Because we were so disciplined not to dos that. So it it's gotten to, you know, where we are today where we feel comfortable
to start, you know, enjoying the money. We don't want to, like, just hide all the money and accumulate and just sit on it. Right? We wanna start enjoying the fruits of our labor, And also, I think that the whole happiness part, how I compensate for that if I think I will feel very, very just like, this is not what I really wanted to do if I, all, I do is just acquire... Things because the things don't make you happy. You know, when I bought my house, the
1 that we are. Well, I'm sitting here right now, my what actually was back of my mind was how happy my friends and you know, associates would be when they come here and do and meet with me and do my product at this location. So even when I was fur finishing the place, when I was working with my interior designer, she initially, was just like, okay. This is going to be, you know, my living room is gonna be a comfortable lounge area, and I'm like, no. That's not the intention of
my space. My space is I wanted to open it up for people to come, ability feeling inspire to share ideas. So we actually turn into a, like, a whole, like, a circular conversational type setting. And even so even in the the whole design of it was very intentional. Mh. And I think that because I came from that angle, like, looking around and all the things that I have. It's not that these things are gonna make me happy it's that I have to space now. To kind of perpetuate my
purpose what I had, you know, envisioned. Right? I want 30, 40 people at a time who can gather and come be comfortable and, you know, have this type of conversation that we're doing right now, but in an amazing setting. So I wanna do a little plug and you, I'm gonna ask you to describe for us. I wanna do a plug for these these pot locks. Because not everybody has taken the trip, not everybody can, understandably. But if someone had the opportune Tuna, Nino to attend what of these pot looks?
Hate a picture for us, what what would they experience? Unity when they come to 1 of these pot lux. Yeah. I I remember my first 1, and it wasn't... It's crazy to me is that it wasn't that long ago. I mean, my first pot, like, was less than 16 months ago, and it's been pretty much monthly since then. But first and foremost, you are part of if you step right into a
community. What... No matter what your experience level is, no matter if you're just starting out, or you don't even know what Iv or the income snowball is or your experience, and you've been doing it for years on that end and you're trying to find out these advanced strategies. You have a collection of people from all different walks of life, both from a financial experience, but also from an age range, of people who are doing this and who are on this journey together. And you just have really
good food. Right? So is Bought, and and it's gone... I would say within these last 6 months, it's people are, like, my wife will make something and then somebody else was, like, let's, all homemade food that that most people are bringing. You're like, okay, this is really good from a health perspective, of course. Right? Right? But you just have the sense of community and people are... There's no agenda There's no okay.
We're gonna talk about this. It's what's fresh on our minds for from this month or what something we wanna discuss. And as we as you go more and more, you start seeing more and more of the similar faces is we start talking on a deeper level. Of, okay. You wanna do this investment? Okay. But what? What does this unlock for you that the investment is doing for you. Why do you wanna choose that as opposed to doing a different investment.
And when you see people coming together to answer that question, you're getting all these different perspectives, it almost turns into a a group therapy sessions for that person asking the question, so they're able to get these different perspectives and they can go home feeling like, wow, no now I have an action plan, but not only that, I have a support system. You come back to the next poll and people will ask... So, hey, how did that end up going? What did you end up
deciding with that? And that's something that is... Invaluable on in terms of just an overall financial journey, but also just journey of life, having communities so important. So, Nino, I wanna build on that because you came into this community. Right? I want I want you to brag on, pay a little bit. What have you seen over the years as you've gotten an no pay, what was it that attracted you and continues, to grow and and you wanted to do a podcast with pay. I think the biggest thing is that
there's 2 things. There's the drive for for more. And I don't mean more possessions. I just mean achieving more. That's... I think and that's that's something that anybody can relate to is that practice what you preach and pay as a walking pinnacle if practice what you preach. But beyond that, there's this... Ever since I was young. I remember my parents, family members and just going through college. I was always an odd ball. I remember being in college, and I would
always have my my... My meals prepped, then I would be eating kind of during class and drinking And people would always be like, what is this kid doing? Like, who are you Why are you doing?? You're just kind of an odd ball. Going to college and then going into my career field, which is primarily women, and I'm just... I stick out. I've always stuck out like a sore, And the moment that I met pay, it was, oh, you're 1 of us now. And it was to to meet somebody to be on the same wavelength
is extremely difficult for me. To to to find friends is okay because it's it's there's... It's not problem finding people who kind of have similar interest. But finding someone that works on the same wavelength, but can challenge you or can ask you questions that you don't even know you need to ask, that is huge, and she could do that with me, and she could do that with anybody at any level, which I think is so empowering. You get ready to travel to Japan. Right?
Yes. And I reminded of the term a Japanese term that talks about, like, your your family. Right? But it's not your biological family. Is it why? Yes. I know it's somehow. I doubt. It's like it's like you found your why? Right. You know, it's like your community, the people that you feel accepted and encouraged and you can get back to and all of that. 1 and even even beyond that... I... What
I just... Sorry. Pay What I just wanted to emphasize what was beyond the that, there's we've, like, paced on that in this area. But now, let's expand that because something that I'm very passionate about and just more curious about is the younger generation. Obviously, for for me, it... And this goes back to the question you're talking about with pay about just having sessions or or or possession, sorry, And Mh.
And just thinking about acquiring more. And the nature of the world we live in is people are eyeball driven. They go off of what they see. Right? If if someone's gonna meet you and only have 30 seconds of a first impression because they're used to that on social media, what their first impression of you is going to indicate a lot. So you might not be a flashy person, but I'll tell you right now, somebody seeing a fancy car or a big house versus a modest home and a modest car.
They're gonna gravitate towards okay, well, why is this person have this fancy car this fancy house. Doesn't it mean that that they obtained it through a means of success or or maybe they're financially in debt to purchase those at... Those liabilities. But they're gonna ask a question. And that's something that I used to be so anti against because we were so conditioned. Don't spend money on that. Don't do this. And now I realized as I've talked to people who are younger
than me. And I realized well, that gets them in the door. Right? I go and they ask me a question about my car. They... Or they find out that I'm not even 30 yet, and I'm financially free. That's like, okay. Hold on. Hold on. That right there will open up the door. Then I can start providing that information. But if they didn't know that about me, they would have never asked that question. I would have never been able to have that impact on them. So I think that that's kind
of the... Being open to how you're gonna reach people, I think is very is very powerful just has as did with myself. I think 1 of the thing too, about, you know, reaching people. What we can share, the information that we share can work for anyone. Do you what Mean, like, it's not what you kinda, you know, previous podcast recording. We we talked about a little bit about how for I can be a doctor. I can be a lawyer. I could be an engineer, but that's it.
I can earn money for myself, but I can't help others do the same. Right? I can committee give career advice, but that's about it. But what we do and in our, you know, financial journey and and what we do. The information that we share, it doesn't matter what you are. You can be you know, you could be a teacher, you can be a doctor. You can be you can be doing anything. What we teach is well, what we share is about how to use that. Resource you have. Right?
And anyone, as long as you put your mind to it and and kind of, can follow the path that we kinda tried to blade for people. You can achieve pretty much, you know, what we have done So that's just kind of the separator, I think for us and our audience, than the other type of podcasts. Right? Like, we can help people who have very little to start with. Like, in the beginning of their journey in the in this in investing world, and kinda take them to the next level in die.
I have a mentor in my life, shout out to doctor Paul fitzgerald. And he said healing happens in community. It doesn't happen in isolation. Right, I think that can apply whether it's financial, healing, emotional healing, you know, fitness health, money, whatever that area of healing is, it happens in community. And what I think you guys are creating with this podcast, finding financial fitness is creating that community that people can access from anywhere.
Right? They don't have to be geographically tied to you. They don't have to fit into a certain category financially or health wise or anything. And they can tap into you guys sharing your personal life experiences and find that community that is supporting, and encouraging and also is laying out the bread breadcrumbs for them where they're like, oh, so this is this has been done. Like, I don't have to figure this out It's it's almost like the concept of who not how. Right?
Who not how? You guys are the who for people out there. People who are looking for health, financial fitness. Right? Finding financial fitness, which includes the fitness part and the financial piece, you are that who for them. And you'll help them with the how. They just gotta find the who. Yeah. Any... I know we're up against the clock here, Nino, Any, final comments or anything that you would like to share about your projects or any thoughts before we tie a bow on this. Hey. Go ahead.
No. I think this is great. I think you know, nino being so young and we joke. Right? Like, I could be his mom. And us, it it's unlikely pair. Right? That the tool of us. But because of that, I think you know, I'm I'm hoping to reach at wider audience because of that. Right? It's 1 thing if, you know, I'm talking to someone of my same age and and 1 that you kinda like, okay. Well, that's your generation Good luck thanks. Right? Like, in Incapable boomer type situation.
But I get that in home from tongue time and with my children visit. Yes. But I think, you know, the the fact that, like, you know, our age difference and our, you know, just in general, I think, we're we're hoping that this will reach a wider audience because there's something that can resonate with anyone out there. And that's the hope. We're just, you know, hoping that this would reach that 1 person. Else was listening and make a note. Yeah. I I think that's that's what well
said. I think for for me as well. It's... There's been certain podcasts such as the life success and legacy. I remember just when I first found the company, they're they're obviously if you're paying mike and I got my first policy, and then I looked at... Though, they have they have a podcast, and then I remember going to the archives and going on through the breakdown of becoming your own banker, and I realized holy cow. Like, these people just want
to educate. And that's something that really stuck with me to this day. If I have a question about the book or forgot something. I will reference those podcasts. And there's other people podcasts that I've listened to that I have just inspired me to just improve my life just overall, in general, be it finance fitness or mental health. And I think that that's something that I wanna be able to
do with pay. Just having... Yeah. I have I have youth on my side, which is great, but there's something that you cannot you cannot pay for life experiences. Right? You have to go through them. And you mentioned who not how and pays been mike, who in that regard where I don't need to go and pay shared stories multiple times about, fail businesses, successful businesses. I don't need to have to go through that on my own to know what to do and what not to do. And so I'm hoping that people...
No matter what age no matter what background can tune into the show and know that there's something that they can relate to. Because we're coming from, like pace at different ages, different ethnicities, different backgrounds, different cultures. Like, there's there's little bit of everything that I think really anybody can can relate to, which just shows that anybody can do this. And that's the message that that we're we're trying to share and and let's have some funnel along the way.
Absolutely. Thank you Bose for taking this time. It is... I'm super excited about this project. Because, again, we stay in our lanes, so we haven't gone out on the health thing or the mental health piece, you know, any of those kinds of things but it is all intertwined. It is it is like a box of loose coat hangers. You can't just pull on 1 without getting just shutter stuff. Attached to it. Right? So I said. So, I am 100
percent thrilled and behind this... Project that you guys are working on, and I can't imagine anyone better to do it. So to my friends, Pay Nino.
