I'm Honey German. My parents are Dominican. I was born and raised in New York City. I love sneakers and I'm a body positive advicate. I'm Carolina Bermudez, but I was born and raised in Ohio. I'm a wife, a mama, and a worker being. This is life Inish Carolina. Honey, I want to shut down my Instagram so bad. You don't even understand, Honey. Why just you have a great Instagram. Why are you gonna shut it down? That took work. It's just the people on Instagram, Carolina, and just it's

just I don't know, it's just the scamming. But wait a minute. Can we go back? Can we go back really quick? And I'm sorry, I don't want to cut you off no good, but I want I want to take people back to a time where Honey German worked her ass off to get a social media following of like how many hundreds of thousands of followers did you have before the first one? Yeah? Two? Hunt? That was nuts? So why are you reminding me of this? Oh? No, baby,

I know, I'm so sorry. I know so the way I know it hurts me too, because that really did so honey, used to have a different Instagram, right, and then it got shut down, so you've built up this new one, this one. You know what's crazy. I used to have a general Instagram where I would post celebrity news. Celebrity news was always my thing. It's how I got my foot in the door. You know, I've been doing it for like ten fifteen years now. I scaled back

because everybody is a celebrity news reporter. But yeah, and my Instagram, you know, it was like two hundred and fifty thousand. It was used on you know, old radio shows, personalities. Everyone used my Instagram to prep even for their shows. And then I shared a clip of like Cardi b on like Jay Leno or something, and it blocked the Disney and they hit me with a copyright infringement. It was like I even thought about getting a job at Instagram just so I could get my page back. That's

how bad I wanted my page back. This was a few a few years ago, and that's when they were hitting people, pinning people all the time about copyright infringement and stole a content, which is what Instagram is right now. Everywhere I look, I'm like, this page is full of stolen content, but they are living, They're thriving. Everything. Everything that we post on our radio station, websites and Instagram, people steal it and I see it everywhere and I'm like, yeah,

but I had to get my Instagram deleted. And the Instagram I have now that that was supposed to be my personal Instagram where friends and families can see my life, right, and that's the one that I By the way, I had access to both of them from the beginning. I will just say there are very few of us that did. But the funny thing to me right now is that you're saying, so Instagram shut you down, but now you're ready to shut Instagram down because you were just so

sick and tired of seeing the scammers. What do you mean by that, though, Carolyn, It's like it's like a scam life, right, Like it's just like I see people all the time, you know, just perpetrating, you know, a life that is just not really what they're living. Like I know people in real life, and I'm like, you are such a scam bro. Like I just can't like from the way people look. I see a picture, I'm like, this is not how you look like you are scamming

on Instagram on your looks, the lifestyle. I'm like, that is not your car, like I know your car. The homes, that is not your home, I know your home. It's just like the scamming and you know, the perpetrating of this lifestyle that is not real that I can't take, Carolina. It's weird, Like I shouldn't let it bother me, right, but it does. It just it kills me. I'm like, Okay, you're posting all this, but I know you're struggling in real life, and you know that's a meme. You know.

It's like people forget we know them in real life, like you guys are posting all this. It even when it comes to relationships, Carolina, people like, I'm so in love this this first house together, showing the keys. But I'm like, y'all just had a whole cheating fallout. Why. That's what I call scamming on Instagram. It's not even stealing, because that's a whole another type of scamming. You know Anadelvi and the tender Swindler that's also on Instagram too.

We can get into that lay of camming. Do you know anybody on Carolyne Carolyne on Instagram that is perpetrating or scamming us with a lifestyle or even a look that you know, it's not really too many people, honey.

And on my end, it is more of the family thing that you mentioned, because I know plenty of people that are posting these photos and that's part of the reason why I'm very cautious to put things up like here's the love of my life, he's my everything, and posting a picture of my husband because like, meanwhile, I just m ft him for not taking out the garbage

five minutes ago. So I'm going to be authentic and I'm gonna let you guys know whenever he's not doing great things, I feel like there's just no validity or

even a way to check people on social media. So, for example, I know a lot of young people coming up in this industry, okay, and I watched them on social and they are flexing so hard, and I think to myself, and I'm saying this humbly, I know you're not even making anywhere near like what I'm making and I'm not even and I'm thinking, like you are being so foolish, like why are you making these decisions? But then again, I think to myself, they got to live

their own life. They're gonna do what they want to do. But I feel like it's an insecurity. Whenever you're flexing like that, it's it's pressure. It's a lot, a lot of pressure, Carolina. That's true. I know people, you know, mostly guys borrowing cars, you know, because they want to keep up with the other cars that guys are posting.

I've been on boat rides where I see people change their clothes, Carolina, so that they can save pictures for a different occasion and continue to post about the same day, but create this narrative there. I'm always on a boat because you know what, I took a picture without my shirt, I took a picture with a different swim trunks and just hoarding it to scam and you know, to perpetrate this lifestyle that's not real and that that can't be that can't be healthy mentally for you to even have

to live this way. Can I tell you that right now, that statement that you just said, where people will change their clothes, that idea has never even entered into my mind that people would even do that. That's how far away I am from even trying to be something that I'm not. You know, one thing that I do say is I've given throughout my career, my life, and I say it this way because it's very true. Warts and all.

There's been good times, there's been bad times. There's been times where you know, I've been happy, I've been sad. My weight has fluctuated, it hasn't there there are so many things about life that you know, there's those roller coaster moments, the ups and downs. But I think that's the reason why I have such a great relationship with the people who follow me on social media, because they know what's really real. They know that I'm not going to be making a gourmet meal for my kids every night.

I'm going to float them some taco bell because mom is tired. Okay, but what other mom isn't doing that? And I feel like a lot of the people that are on social are trying to portray this different lifestyle file for themselves, but then they're the ones that have to live with the reality. And that's where I kind of just let it go, Like I don't even dive too far into it because I got my own problems

and issues to think about. But where it really rubs me the wrong way is when they scam other people. That's what bothers me. It's almost like cat fishing, but like not on a relationship level, on just an everything level, and that's happening on the daily. It's like you have to even look for red flags on social media. You can get scammed by female you can get scammed, you know, by mail. It could be any type of offer. People are just out here just trying to grab money from

wherever they can. I also think that there's something to be said about people trying to scam professionally. There are so many people that portray themselves as a professional of certain industries. Um For example, I know that there's somebody that is in finance that has built a really, really great social media following. And I'm not going to name names, but there has been some backstories about this person not really working at the places where they said they got

their finance background from. So that's where I feel like it's the wild West out there. Anybody can be anything. It's almost like fake it till you make it, and nobody's gonna research or nobody's gonna question you, because it's just there and people take it at face value. Like let's say getting verified on Instagram. That's a huge scam. People pay all types of money to get the blue badge. I thought you couldn't do that. No, because people scam.

They tell you that they're going to get you verified, you pay them, and then they just steal your money. I think it's like, I know somebody who was like desperately wanted to get his wife verified. Why, I don't know he and the wife is not even like a public figure or anything. They just wanted the blue check, right. So he goes on. He finds somebody the persons in Dominican Republic. Oh send me six hundred, Oh send me

this or send me that long story short. Eighteen hundred dollars later, the guy blocks them everywhere and they got scammed at eighteen hundred dollars just trying to get verified. Again. It brings me back to wanting to be lit on a Graham. But I bet you that person took that eighteen hundred bucks and got a nose job or got themselves a Brazilian butt lift, because that's what's happening. Hell yeah it was. There was in the They definitely got

some light. But that person definitely got some fake apps. It was a guy they were dealing with, so he definitely got some fake apps and go on out something. I think it's more of something where you have to just be cautious of everyone, and I hate to be that way. I really am a very trusting person, and I like to think that there isn't people out there or there aren't people out there that are scamming, but they're alive and well in there everywhere. I mean, look, Carolina,

you even mentioned romance scams? Are you the tender swindler? I have a lot of I have a lot of male friends right yo. These girls I'll be asking for money, rent money. You know, one of my friends showed me something. This girl said, send me one dollars to get my hair done. Cash happen to me like men have to

be where And she was gorgeous. I don't know if these were her pictures, but these romance scams are at the top, top top of the list people are asking, and people in America, I'm not even talking about people in other countries. These beautiful female influencers, they will use their looks to try to scam you out of money. But guys, please, unless you meet her in person, and unless you get to smash, you shouldn't be giving no female money out here. I think I wouldn't even I

don't know how to finesse like that. Even when I was single, I wouldn't nowhere to begin to ask somebody to send me some money. I feel like my pride is too. They don't have no problems, they have zero issues asking for some lute, and that to me is so concerning. Well, because I'm bringing up kids in this this life now, you know, I'm this is these are the things that I'm going to have to really warn my kids about as they get older and when they get social media problem. I just hope all other ship

dies down. Honestly by the time they're like sixteen, seventeen, eighteen. I feel like just the metaverse is this is just the beginning, I know. And that's the problem is that people will always find a way. Even if you go back to the Bible. There were swindlers back in the Bible,

and they're swindlers today. And that's why you touched on it before the Tinder Swindler when people saw this on Netflix, and if you didn't check it out, it's about a guy who completely scammed a number of women into believing that he was like some air to this fortune and but he was needing money all the time, and that's that would have been the first red flag for me. But there are people who actually believe. And he was another one, honey, like what you're talking about these private

jets and things. They weren't even his, but he was playing it off like they were because maybe having this lifestyle on Instagram where you don't even think this person needs a penny, So then you're like, oh, well, you're always on boat, you always had these great cars. Yeah, sure, oh well let me hold three dollars or whatever, And

people said it. That's not the only one, though. There was recently another woman in the news that everybody's been talking about this, Anna Delvi, who managed to that one break into high society in New York City, which is truthfully one of the hardest places to break. I will tell you, we have a dear friend who's I don't I don't want to give too much detail, but I know somebody whose husband is high, high, high up. Okay,

they run in a different type of circle. Wonderful people, humble people, very honest and genuine, but when I tell you I've gone to events with them before, and people look at you like cross eyed when you show up because you are not wearing You're wearing off the rack. You're not wearing oh couture. That's the all that these people like this Anna Adelphia is what I'm talking about. The level. I'm proud of her, Carolina, what she did. Stop it right now. Listen. She did it to the

big banks. She didn't do it to the regular working person, and she didn't do it all the way well the bank, I guess the hotel's kind of sort of. But I'm proud of her what she managed to pull on the elite in New York City, this secret society, The way she managed to infiltrate, Like the girl has got some brains up there. If she would have used it in a different way, there wasn't a criminal fashion. She could go far as hell in life. Think about it. Totally genius.

But I'm showing up in wearing Zara to these events and these ladies are wearing Chanel Runway craziness, and they look at you like a certain type of way, like you're the help, like girl, who is this? Can you get me a drink? But yes, yeah, exactly. But I think that she was a different type of I don't know. There has to be so thing mentally that you can pull this off, because there's no way that I could lie to people like that. I think I would get

caught in the line. How do you keep her story straight? Now? Then people got different, so they think differently. Their mind is a little bit twisted and totally different. You know what's another scam, Carlina, is happening a lot now. The crypto scam, people telling you to invest like in bitcoins and like crypto currencies and just stealing your money. I read this story about this girl. She invested all this money into like a new cryptocurrency. It was totally fake.

She even like wiped out like her parents retirement accounts or whatever. They're the fraudsters are everywhere. They're doing everything, romance scams, bitcoin, credit card fraud. Don't get me started out of the credit card fraud, Carol Realina. These people out here stealing your whole identity. It's bad. I don't ever want to be a victim of that. The bitcoin stuff, you could totally get me if I'm too being chip. My mom says, no, I do not let my money go.

I really don't, and so that's the reason why I won't let anybody get me if it's not a established I have one credit card I use I and I pay it off every single month. I do not mess around with my finances. I work too hard for my money. I'm afraid to lose it. Like for example, bitcoin, cryptocurrency, all of that stuff, it sounds like a different language to me. I fully don't understand it. I should educate myself on it, because I don't like to be uneducated

or ignorant about things. But I won't go investing my money in something that I'm not fully aware of. You know. It's those fake promises, like people get so gas, like I'm gonna be rich, I'm gonna get in early. You know, the same thing that happened with bitcoin is gonna happen with this new cryptocur I feel like people get get super hyped and like gas, and then they get robbed. You know. Another way that people are getting robbed Carolina

buying followers, buying followers and likes. People go to these websites right to buy the gate likes for their Instagram again, trying to look a certain way on Instagram, and you know what happening. All your financial data is being is being so stolen, like you enter your credit card to pay twenty dollars. Let's say, followers, guess where your credit card information was stolen? And here you're gonna It's just a lot, a lot of things happening. It's weird. Also,

like you gotta keep those eyes open, eyes open. And you know another scam like fake job offers. You know, they offer you jobs, right, and then they start getting all this data from you, talking about they're gonna hire you, and then you give them like your driver's license, you give them your home address. You know, do you do like a whole fake hiring process and these fake jobs

still your entire identity. I heard about this. There was a young lady and there was an article I think I read it just like a couple of weeks ago, where she went to one of these job sites and she entered all of her personal information and then they told her that they were going to call her in for a meeting, but they needed all of her information to process her before so she wouldn't be waiting. And that's a exactly what they did. Now when it comes

to stolen identity. My identity has been stolen many times. Apparently my social Security number was in the circuit and my identity was stolen even back in two thousand three, a long long time ago. So that's something that is so hard to recover from. I have to have a pin number for the I R S to do my taxes because people were taking out I mean, it is a actual nightmare. One thing that did come to mind, though, Honey, when you're bringing all of this up, is research. I

feel like people are too lazy. They don't they want to believe that that easy you know, cryptocurrency is gonna put them on the road to success or they're going to be living the high life. If they just give fifty thou dollars or whatever, ten thou ten thousand dollars a lot of money to me. If they just give a thousand dollars, there's a lot of money to me. Even if you do that, and then you bring your family into this and blow like the whole family babies,

you know, just with the hopes of getting rich. I guess cyber criminals they're trained. These people are out here, they are scamming, they are you know, what's crazy down in Miami. They have television ads for scams. They tell you like, oh, have you been a victim of a scam? Did you receive an email like this? This is how bad it is getting that they are now putting television ads alerting people about scams that are happening. One that I'm very concerned about that has just recently been on

the news. A lot people are hearing about it, and f T s n f t s are really taking over. Everybody's talking about, Oh, you've gotta have an n f T. Justin Bieber bought like a monkey eating a banana n f T and spent like millions of dollars on that. And I just can't picture myself investing in something that isn't tangible. But then again, I have a lot of people are saying, well, that's the wave, that's the future, So you're not going to get in on the wave.

I'm just more afraid of putting my money in an investment that I won't see a return on, and that that's the scary thing for me. Yeah, you know, it's crazy with n f T s. I feel like it's everything is dying down. I remember um last year for our Bossle down in Miami. They had a lot of

like events, and it's crazy, Carolina. You couldn't even R s v P to these events if you didn't have a crypto wallet, like they wanted to make sure you were not going to their event, if you were not even ready to purchase, because you know, you can't really you can purchase n f T s with a credit card, but they want you to have a crypto wallet. But n f T s, I feel like it's not for the average person. I'll tell you that much. Buying one of those eight n f T s for dollars that's

for like rappers, a little baby and them. Let them have that. I'm not invest in my money that I have some weird n f T s. Let's say like the Breakfast Club they did an n f T drop. I bought all of those n f t s, but they were like nine dollars. Okay, So then what in the future could you do with those? Like do you have the right to post those on social media? Deal? Like do you own those or do other people own them? That's my confusion. It's like I don't want something that

everybody else has, they're yours. There no They're like, well you could. Anybody gets screen shot and then and now they have it in their phone. But to be able to like sell it, you're the only one that owns that particular n f T. Now the odds that of n f T that you purchase ends up costing millions of dollars. That's where that's where the problem lies. You're the only one that could sell it. You own it, and that's pretty much it. Like your own n f

T is in your phone, is in your wallet. You could look at it, you could say you own it. I don't know. I felt like it just became like a hype a wave. Everything was about n f T, and you don't tech people and like, you know, people that are really into digital world. I mean, they're the ones that got super hype about it. But you can buy an n f T today and it could cost the same thing tomorrow, or it could drop in value and you lost all your money. That's the scary part

of it. And I'd rather give my money to a bank. See a bank. See is tangible right, It's there and you have it right in your house exactly now, by the way, I can't eat in afford to look at a bank. See, um, I buy my art at home goods. Same here. I am actually in the clearance part of home goods, because then that's when you really get stop. I have some flies shipped from home. Yes. My my friend came over. He said, oh my god, this are I love it. It's like inside of a plexiglass. And

he said, oh wow, who's the artist? I said, I got to say, it's a print. What are you talking about. It's a reprint. It's like canvas. It actually looks like canvas. That's why he was so thrown off. But yet, scams are everywhere, Carley, and I'm talking about scams are everywhere, and I feel like the worst scam is people scam, Like when you get scamped, Like you know, I know people that will date somebody like, Okay, this person has money.

H They're not really my type. I'm gonna still date them, and I'm just gonna scam them out of everything I can. I'm gonna make them take me to This is real life scamming, and it's done, and it's done. And I'm only gonna make him take me to all the best restaurants. I'm gonna make sure and then they can scamming comes in. Then the Instagram scamming comes in. So you're live in the fresh scamming someone to take you to top NASA restaurants. Then you're posting it on Instagram like that's a life

that you're financing. Why did I have to see it on World Star that. Now the new scam is girls that are dating guys and then they expect the guy to take all their girlfriends out and pay for the bill, and they're showing up for the dates. This is a This is a new thing to me. I saw that video. See I don't know not girl, this has been a thing. Okay with scamming, Well, it depends. Let's say, like if I dated a drug dealer right before I was married, which I did several times, I'd be like, girls, get

it together. This motherfucker's taking us out to eat, and yeah, I would expect him to or he's gonna pop bottles. This guy's gonna get a section. Yeah, if I came with my girlfriends, I would fully expect you to pay for them too. That was me way back when I saw the video you're talking about. This girl was outside of a restaurant going off because she expected the guy to pay for eight of her friends. But you know, as men, you should be like, nah, I'm inviting you

and you alone, don't bring all these girlfriends. If you let the girls all come, I guess then there is an expectation that you're gonna pay as the mail. Again, that's scamming. You're scamming not just for you, You're scamming for your home girls too, Like people scam boats, like bitch, I got a guy with a boat. We're gonna go on his boat. Get it, get ready, and then you show up and he has this romantic interest in you.

But you're using that to your advantage so that your girlfriends can also live a lifestyle that they can't afford on the dime of this guy who has hopes of sleeping with you. I'm running in the wrong circles, man, I'm I'm car pooling to to freaking karate. I'm not on any boats. I'm I'm Kellena. We're retired, we are retired for we're we're just watching. Okay, we're just watching what's going wasn't ready for me? I retired, It wouldn't it wouldn't be able to survive. It's a lot of

ratch of ship going on. I'll tell you that much. But yes, scamming dinners is a thing. Scamming trips is another thing. Carolina, I would not Okay, can I just I'm right now, right here, I'm going to tell you that is the dumbest thing to do, because then you're stuck with the person that you scammed the trip from. What if that person is just not You're not your type? What if you're miserable? Girl? I know somebody who did that, and I was just so afraid. She went from her hometown.

She met an African guy from London and they met in Mahico. I was like, I know, did not care. She wanted her trip. In her defense, this man was fine as all hell the trip, you know, but I was scared the whole time. I'm like, what do you get there? This is not the person to meet you, Like, what the hell? She was not scared? Had one big Carolina. Oh. I know him on Instagram for a long time. He's cool people we FaceTime. I'm like, ye'all gonna stay in

the same room. Yeah, but it would be cool. You know. I'm just gonna say I'm not sleeping with you just because we're staying in the same room. I'm not gonna have sex with you. This is so bold. They're brazen and mean. It went well, but it is a thing, Carolina. Scamming trips, birthday trips, scamming birthday trips, scamming dinners, scamming shopping trips. You can even scam wigs. I know girls that will scam. You know, wigs are expensive. Let's say

like they could be upwards of a thousand dollars. This is so bold, They're brazen. I'm who knew that the wig market was so expensive? So what people? And I'm I'm being sincere. I'm Carolina. You want me to blow your edges off your head right now? Wigs are expensive, Carolina. Some girls are like, yo, buy me a wig. You're trying to go out with me, Buy me a wig, Buy me two or three wigs. I need a red wig, a blonde wig, a black wig, Carolina. The hustle is real,

especially on social media. I know somebody has said, you know, I need to move. Um, you can only see me in my new place, but you need to give me the money so I could do my move, Carolina. I'm telling you, these these people out here get into it. They do not care. These wigs are bread. The wigs I get are from party city guys. Okay, whenever I'm not into that where I'm looking like more. These wigs got baby hairs. These wigs got baby hairs that look like they were sown by angels. Are you crazy for

a good wig? Is a thousand plus? Hell yeah, Carolina. Alright, so I got the master list here, ladies and gentlemen, the scammers checklist. These are all the things that if you are not on it, I mean, get your game on, girls, because I guess there's some trips to be had. There's apartments, there's cars. You got your yachts, you got your bundles, you got your wigs, you have your n f T s, you got your cryptocurrency, and um, all you gotta do is just um, bend to the front and touch of toes.

Maybe I don't know, this is like and not and find the ultimate paint DAJO that's willing to sell you. To have money, I'm gonna have a birthday party of poppy steak. I need three thousand dollars because I want to get that steak that comes in the briefcase. Can you sell me she said, poppy steak. I don't even know about the steak in the briefcase. That's how not on this I am. Well, you know what, guys, watch you gotta have bank flash. Well, we are gonna that's
