Understanding Your ‘Authentic Code’ is Essential to Your Brand and Bottomline: Angela Mayhoe
Mar 03, 2021•1 hr 5 min
Episode description
Angela Mayhoe is the Founder of Angela Mayhoe | KNIT, a slow fashion, handcrafted knitwear brand. In addition to offering her knitwear line, Angela is creating a space for a community that longs to come back to their authentic selves.
In this episode, Nada sits down with Angela to discuss how her 15 years of retail experience led her to launch her own company. Her love for knitting became a requested commodity from her friends and family. Understanding herself and her ‘Authentic Code’ guided her to build a slow fashion brand that integrated her lifestyle and musings.
Angela pivoted this past year, partially due to the pandemic and also due to the racial unrest and movement for equity. She decided to further infuse her brand with her experience as a Black woman. She wanted to be fully seen and integrated into her brand.
