Welcome to level with me. I'm your host, Eric Paslay. This is my brand new podcast about living with type one diabetes. I'm so excited to talk about what living with type one reveals about ourselves and the people we're closest to, how it challenges and strengthens our most important relationships. I personally have type one diabetes and after meeting other type ones backstage for four shows, I've come to believe that the more we talk about things in our lives, the more we all get to the truth.
So that's what we're going to do here. This is a podcast for type ones made by type ones . Type one makes you feel vulnerable , period. I know we're working towards the care . I get that, but right now, I mean until there's a cure, there has to be community sometimes around my blood sugar was really high. I have to take a shot. It's fine now when I do it, it's just before I , it really hurt when I did it.
It's a whole new level to know that you can take care of yourself to the point that I can trust that you can take care of our baby. The thing I've learned is how living with type one diabetes in tax you and the people around you every single day. So every episode of this podcast is going to be made up to two parts and the first part we're going to take y'all to our guests on town . We'll get to go bowling. You know Ohio . Do you want to help?
Mommy did grocery shopping and Virginia and the whole thrill in this experiment of carbs , which is very rare for a fruit hit the beach in Sunny San Diego. This is like the kids absolute favorite thing to do and sometimes you kind of feel like you take a break mentally like from diabetes for a minute, which is really nice. Go on a jog through the woods and Maryland runs are always great once you're going in a special tour right here in Nashville.
This studio here is where I recorded my first album, and then they're going to fly here to Nashville, Tennessee to hang out with me and blackbird studios. One of my favorite places to record music so we can spend more time one on one talking to some of the stories we heard, digging deeper into what makes each of our t one d experiences unique and also universe . It's kind of interesting. I don't know if I would have learned this much about nutrition or anything. Had I not been a dive. I know.
Absolutely. I wouldn't have blinded me her . I'd probably be about 400 pounds right now. It's mostly here with this Nashville food. I can't wait for you to hear it. Check it out, and if you like what you hear, please like and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Thanks y'all.
