Level Flight Ep. 67: Winnipeg Jets Squeak Past Sharks, Questionable Line Blender, and the Morgan Rielly Suspension

The full crew of Brian, Connor, and Elliott are back for their Thursday edition of the show! It’s a late night for the guys, as they break down the Jets’ 1-0 win over the San Jose Sharks (2:45). 

One of the biggest stories coming out of the game, however, was the demotion of Nikolaj Ehlers to the fourth line. Brian (3:51) and Elliott (8:42) have back-to-back rants on the subject, laying into the decision-making of the coaching staff and questioning whether some players have a longer leash than others.

It wouldn’t be an episode of the Level Flight Podcast without a discussion of the Jets’ power play (10:53), and they’ve yet to find an answer on the topic.

With there just being one game to chat about the guys also jumped into some NHL-wide news, chatting about Morgan Rielly’s suspension (20:13), Alex Ovechkin’s hot streak (28:18), and Connor McDavid showing us why he’s the best player in the world (29:44).
