Episode description

Jeanette Dorner has been working with communities to recover local salmon populations for the last two decades.  In her career she has been the Salmon Recovery Program Manager for the Nisqually Indian Tribe, the Director of Ecosystem and Salmon Recovery for Washington State’s Puget Sound Partnership, and is currently the Executive Director of the Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group working on salmon recovery in King and Kitsap counties.  In her spare time she also serves as Chair of the Board of the Pierce Conservation District and President of the Washington Association of Conservation Districts.  Jeanette has a BS in Earth Sciences and a BA in Environmental Studies from Pacific Lutheran University and has an MS from the University of Washington’s College of Forest Resources where she studied Ecological Restoration.
