Hyperlexia and Autism

This week Meesh and Christelle speak to Gem from instagram account @geminstitches about her autistic son's hyperlexia. 
Hyperlexia is when a child can read at a level far beyond that expected of their age. Gem tells us of her son's fascination with the alphabet and numbers and how he has been able to spell out complex words from the age of 3. A fascinating chat with talks about diagnosis, moving to a special school and much more.
