Episode description

In honor of Black History Month, we’ll revisit the story of Lorraine Fox.

Breast cancer stole her sister and threatened to take her life as well. But she stood up and fought.

Dorothy and Lorraine talk about the grit that helped her navigate a breast cancer diagnosis while raising her two-year old son and five-year old nephew.

Years later, Lorraine and her son De’Aaron Fox—a star player for the Sacramento Kings, formed the Fox Whole Family Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting breast cancer survivors and empowering disadvantaged youth through the development of essential leadership skills.
