Episode description

Oh man, you guys in for an incredible interview! Today's guest is Megan Bell, an incredible human being and entreprenuer who is making positive change in her own community. Megan is the founder of Next Door Market, one of the largest black-owned grocery stores set to open in Louisville's Russell neighborhood in 2021. The idea for Next Door Market came from Megan's own experiences growing up in Russell and recognizing that access to healthy food has been a systematic struggle for many. After extensive research, Megan took this issue into her own hands to help make a difference. In this episode, we touched on her idea from concept to action, her nonprofit Virtuous Women of Empowerment, and the issues affecting the black community in Louisville today.
