Why It Is Not Okay to Pray to Angels

Every so often you will hear or read about someone praying to angels. Those in the new age spirituality and in the New Apostolic Reformation will often talk about communicating with angels. What is an angel? What is their role in the ministry and purposes of God? What is prayer and is prayer an act of worship? And if prayer is an act of worship, what position does that put the angel one is praying to?
