The Let's Get Real Podcast: Let's Get Real About Understanding a Worldview

In James Sire's prolific book, The Universe Next Door , he defines a worldview as, “ a commitment, a fundamental orientation of the heart, that can be expressed as a story or in a set of presuppositions (assumptions which may be true, partially true or entirely false) which we hold (consciously or subconsciously, consistently or inconsistently) about the basic constitution of reality, and that provides the foundations on which we live and more and have our being. ” This means that EVERYONE who h...

Let's Get Real Podcast: What Happens if You Get the Truth Issue WRONG?

It has been said that many people do not want the truth and just want the constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth. Perhaps you have been in a conversation with someone who retorted something like "that's true for you" or "I am glad you have your beliefs and that they work for you." It is like this with many people who embrace their own truth out of matters of pragmatism or personal preference. So the question is, what would happen if you have the truth issue wrong? How American Christianity Lost Its Evangelical Mind

I don’t know if you realize this or not, but the problem with America is not America. The problem with America is the church . And that problem is widespread in the church at large today. On The Real Issue Podcast, Rob provides the reasons how we got to where we are by tracing the h...

The Real Issue Podcast: How to Recognize the Teachings of a Cult

When you hear the word "cult" many people think of Jonestown or the Branch Davidians.
