Thank you guys for listening to another fun filled episode

of Let's Get Biblical. Witch a boy KD. Who am I former stand up comedian world of entertainment of over twenty years and we're going to be sharing my testimonial thoughts, not today, but at the end of the season. Usually we love to share that gift because when someone shares the gift of testimony with you, it opens up your world. And this is what we try to do every single day on this podcast. So thank you guys or listening

now if this is your first time listening. What we do is we open up the scriptures from that Bible that you're afraid to touch because you believe you're gonna get struck by lightning. You feel you're so bad, you haven't done enough. You don't believe in them. We get it, we get it, but stick around. Stick around, because we have a test for you, and we know how today's generation is. You know, when somebody pushes you into a corner, you're a roaring lion. That's what God made you

to be, is to be a roaring lion. And when we push you, you tend to react. Well, we're not gonna push you. We're just gonna kind of lightly nudge you a little bit and tell you listen to this podcast. We dare you. We dare you is the phrase of twenty twenty four. It sounds in your face, right man, We dare you, But we dare you to listen to the podcast. We dare you to

take it with a grain of salt. We dare you to find a middle ground that is effective for your life and effective for the life God wants you to live. The reason why I tell you that is because we can't always go overboard right off the bat when we first enter this new walk with Christ. And what I mean by that is sometimes we feel we have to read all sixty six chapters right in a row in three days. No, dig slowly, dig deeply, pray deeply with him because it's more about the personal

relationship with Jesus. And once you learn the personal relationship and the type of person he was, you'll feel empathetic love, strength, power like you've never felt before. But there's times in your walk, and this is what we're going to discuss today. There's times in your walk, whether you may be new in Christ, where you're on fire and you want to have all these millions of ideas like I did having been an entertainer. I thought I could do a new broadcast, I can do a podcast, I can do a

TV show, I can do a game show. I can go out in the public. I thought, with all the many talents that God has given me, that's what he wanted me to do. Because I was in entertainment so long, I thought, Hey, that little door that I kicked down to become an entertainer, I can use this for God. Now. Well, God really humbled me over the last year and a half because last year, guys, I went back out on the road to be a stand up comedian for about a handful of shows. I was excited. I was writing

new material. I'm older now, so I have new things to talk about. I have more God to talk about more Jesus, more family, more kids, wholesome stuff. And I know what some of you non believers are, Oh you mean boring comedy, Actually not, go check out the likes of Tim Hawkins, Michael Jones Junior, Michael Jor and more. Now we got off the beaten path with that. Now, I, as an entertainer, I thought I could do so much for God, and I still believe

that to this day. But I started to see what He was actually doing in my life, and starting I lean more toward what he wanted me to do. You see, I've always been a tour guide. In the sanity of San Antonio. I deal with hundreds of people a week when I used to work down on the boats as a boat captain. As a tour guide, I probably dealt with almost thousands a month from countries all over the world.

And San Antonio is a city that was formed on Catholicism. Now, I don't like to break down sub sects of religion, so we'll just say it was formed on religion. It really was, So it makes it easy to talk about with my guests, and when I do, I open up a whole new world through my testimonies. That I have lived in my life and what God has done for me with all this greatness that He's surrounding me with, ways to affect people, the ways to change people for the ways

of God, all these talents, and I'm still on the bench. What I mean by that is we can see pastors, we go to churches, and some of this that have been in the entertainment industry believe that we can do that. Do I believe I still could do something like that, like a pastoring or ministering. Absolutely, but it's not my time. I started this conversation off by saying, I'm sitting at the end of the bench,

and this is the title of our program today. D League Disciple. Now in the NBA, they have a minor league team that's below the pros that prep themselves to become a pro, and that's called the D League. A lot of professional sports have this, Baseball, soccer, football, all have some sort of minor league system or D league. Will God shined upon me

on my way to work today that I'm a D League disciple. I may have the talent to be a pro, talent for God to be out there in the streets ministering to maybe even going in and speaking testimony to churches and people everywhere. But that's not where he wants me. You know. Part of me thought it was to become a Christian actor, Christian comedian. Not where he wanted me. He didn't want me in the world of entertainment with all the darkness going on in it, from the news of Jeffrey Epstein several

years ago to what some of these entertainers are doing behind closed doors. P Diddy and more. He showed me that this life is not for me, the entertainment life. So think about that, something you loved so much in your life. You've got to let go for him in order to grow with him. It's a lot to give up for a new believer. I get it. It was hard for me. It took me ten years clean out my closet and some of my baggage. And notice I said some, because

there are some things in my closet I'm still working on. You know the old adage when they say God is not done with you yet, Well, there's a reason He's ready for you to clean yourself up to come to him. If you don't, you'll be going to a far worse place than the earth. That we live on right now. This is why we deliver these shows in a different, unique way, so you can understand that it is a parent as much as God wants you, you need Jesus. You need

Jesus. Jesus is the way to the Father in heaven. So to develop that relationship with him first is very evident. And the first thing you need to do not open up the Bible from the Book of Genesis and try to read it word for word and understand everything. Because there's baby steps in this walk in the Bible. In the Book of Hebrews, Hebrews five says it

talks about spiritual milk. This is intended for babies or infants. How we must first be established with milk before He can break off chunks of meat for us. And you see in my walk right now, over ten years, I'm finally starting to kit the development and the taste for that meat, that more thicker product that God has for us. In the Bible, not your basic Book of Proverbs, not your basic Book of Psalms, which is the greatest thing to start out with when you're in Christ. In the very beginning,

the Book of Proverbs is where it's at. Then move to the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John get to know Jesus. Then go to Genesis and start from the beginning. That's a cliff notes version right there for you. But we all have to have spiritual milk like babies. Do you give your baby fresh out of your womb some skittles or maybe a big chunk of a Porterhouse steak. No, you give him milk. Then you give him soft food, then you give him chewable food, digestible food.

Then you're ready for the meat and potatoes portion of the Bible. I'm not even ready for it. I want it, but I'm not even ready yet because He hasn't given it to me. He breaks me off tiny pieces, almost like you know when you're a baby with brand new teeth, a little bit of teeth, and you want to give your kids something chewable so they can learn to chew. That's what God does for us, chunks of

little meat. The older we get in our walk, he'll start cutting up that spiritual meat and handing it to us and washing it down with some spiritual milk. Because sometimes we ingest so much that God gives us that we need to backtrack sometimes to that spiritual milk to put it all together and wash it all down. Now, once you get these things in your life, the spiritual milk, the spiritual me, then you're ready to work for Christ. Right you feel it in your soul. You want it, you want to

do more. But God keeps you on the bench. God sometimes won't even call you up to the pros. He'll keep you in that d league. He may keep you in that elementary team for a while, middle school team, high school, then college, then minor leagues, then bring you to the ultimate bench where the ultimate disciples are. That's Heaven. That's what I like to see the prose. As you know the original twelve, the twelve Disciples, Matthew, Mark Luke, John Bartholomew, and many others in the

Bible. I know you thought I was gonna name all twelve. Right See, I'm still chewing pieces of that spiritual meat right there. Okay. We don't always have to know the Bible front to back, back and forth, but to know of it and the power it has will be your advancement and your spiritual walk with Christ. Start small. You don't go into a gym and lift up one hundred pound weight. You lift up a small weight. You don't get on the treadmill and do an eight. You start out at

a two. Maybe depends on where your walk is. See what I get there. Yes, we bring these stupid dad jokes as well on this show, but we're all disciples in Christ. That's what he wants. He wants us to go out there and deliver the gospel. And it's not always in that hell fire and brimstone bible thumping kind of way that you see. Sometimes people on the street are a little forceful with trust me. That pushed me

away for years. But the right disciple for God will come along and show you the way, and then you're gonna want to do more because somebody did something for you. That somebody was Jesus. They sent someone into your life in order for your life to be saved and changed. When we're sitting at the bench, though, guys, it could be sitting in the minor leagues on the bench and we're just waiting our time, waiting our time. Sometimes

we don't get any playing time on that field God wants us on. He wants to just watch and learn, studying more, reading more, watching more sermons, listening to podcasts, opening up the Bible. He wants you to do that just like a professional athlete. He wants you to study the Playbook, the be Odd, the good old Basic Instructions before leaving Earth manual.

A lot of pastors hate that acronym. We love it on this show because you may be in a walk where you're on spiritual milk and you're only allowed two or four ounces a day, and something that simple makes you realize that, man, I can't wait to chew into that meat in order to deliver it to somebody else that needs it. I used to think the Gospels were

just for me. Well it is in the beginning. It's just for you, because you can't go out there reading what you just read from the Book of Leviticus, one of the hardest books in the Bible, and preach the Book of Leviticus to someone who doesn't even know the story of Noah, the story of Jonah, the stuff we learned about in Bible school, the little stories Daniel from the Bible, things of that nature. Paul when he fell off his horse and became blind, and now he can see see how that's

spiritual milk. The more you dig into those chapters, though, there's a lot more to them, and it's awesome. Then you're able to go out there and deliver to someone who needs it. Well, I'm kind of at that walk in my life. I'm kinda anywhere between the tenth and the seventh man on the bench of a minor league team. I'm getting a little bit of playing time. I'm getting a few minutes. And how I get that playing time is when somebody comes across my path. I'm able to interject testimony

gospel. A homeless person that comes up to you for money on the street, ask them their name, May I pray for you? What do you need? A lot of them will say a job, housing, clothing to get back home. Offer them what you have at the moment, or what you can offer them. Sometimes it's a sandwich, sometimes it's just a bo water doesn't always have to be money. A lot of us turn our heads

to the homeless. When that's wrong, I feel bad. I don't have something on me daily when I'm in a big city like San Antonio to able to help the homeless. Now, you may have a friend that needs you, a family member, a pastor who looks like they're down and they just need a word of encouragement. Google words of encouragement from the Bible. Something as simple as you know, I know the plans I have for you, basic milk, given pieces of the Bible to you to give to someone else.

If you sow the seeds, we don't have to worry about sewing them. Guys. That's where we worry as human beings that we got to do it all when Christ is our ultimate tag team partner, the coach at the end of the bench saying, get in there. I got you. Here's the playbook. I want you to do A, B and C. Don't do anything out of that because what happens turn the ball over, It's cost the team the game. So you stick to the basic principles before digesting spiritual

meat to go deeper in your walk. Right now, I'm at that morsel portion. I feel I'm cutting off pieces. Here you go, Katie, take that use that portion. Now, use this portion, ingest it feeling in your body before you speak it out. This is why we haven't been delivering a lot of programs this year. We've gone down to maybe one a week, one every other week because I'm waiting on signs from God and more morsels to deliver to you like today's D League Disciple episode. I thought it

was pretty cool, to be honest with you. I've been following basketball all year long, loving it, and God's like, hey, McFly, I want to do a show based on your walk as a bench player for me. And there's plenty of room on the bench, folks, because just like there's different teams all over the world, you're a part of God's team which is all over the world. Just because I'm in Texas doesn't mean that I'm fighting for a starting spot with a million other believers. No, we're part

of the same team. I may want to help the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth man on the bench. I may want to help someone that was brought up to our team for a little bit, deliver them a little bit of morsel so they can develop their energy to be stronger in life for God. While the coach God is teaching me, Jesus is his right hand, the assistant coach, saying we got you. This is the walk of a disciple and a D League Disciple. Drake said it best. Y'all started from

the bottom. Now we're here, You've got to remember we got to start from the bottom. Before we're at the right hand of God, the right hand of Jesus. We can't be at the right hand of God. By the way, we can be right there with Jesus. Jesus can be like, this is my dog right here, This is my dog. This is my dog. Jane James, Joni Jacob. I don't know why I went

with all jays to Caesar to say, but you get the picture. When you're called be ready in this podcast, we hope was a way for you to be ready, continue to listen, continue to progress with us because I'm progressing as well. That's a point of this show is to walk for Christ together. I need you, you need me, we need him. Bottom line, remember you'll be a d league disciple, be a minor league disciple. You may be just starting out, but no matter where you're at,

He wants to use you. If you're early in your walk, build up your power, then eventually you're gonna want to speak to someone that comes across your path. You may only talk to one or two people a year, but those one or two people were put in your path by God. There are times I walk past people and I bite my tongue after I walk by, going I missed one. Lord, I'm sorry, but he knew I

wasn't ready for that. He may not deliver you a homeless person that looks really rugged and down and living in a box and smells like urine or smells like feces. He may not be ready for that yet, But you're ready for your best friend John, who's kind of iffy in this whole Christ thing. Start small, Your journey will be big, but you just have to let go and let God. Guys, thank you for listening to another episode of Let's Get Biblical with your Boy KD. We'll see you on the flip

side. God bless y'all, and get ready y'all, because we're ready for some big shows coming up from the rest of this season. We're going to be doing some music shows where we tie in how music is actually used by God and could be used by the devil as well, and we need to watch those signs. We need to read those signs. We're going to bring you motivational, uplifting music and have a little bit of fun with it.

Music has been a big influential part of my life and an influential part in my walk with Christ, and I want that to be your next step as well. You'll start hearing signs of that nature you here's signs of what you're reading. Things will pop off the page, things that people say. Get

ready because your life is ready to change. And if you're not fully prepared for Christ and you're wondering what this walk is about and you want to be a part of it because it just sounds like the coolest club in the world, it's easy. You need to take the Romans Road to get to that awesome club in the sky we call Heaven. You need to google the Romans Road. Read the Romans Road out loud to God. God, I am a sinner. I have done wrong. I want to change. Lord.

I know you died for me and rose on the third day. I believe that you are the savior of my life, and I turn my life over to you. God. Please make me new again and wash me of my sins. Thank you Amen. That's it. You'll start to feel little changes, then you'll start to see big changes. You'll go through valleys where you don't believe that God is even there with you, but He's there all the time. Be ready in your walk with Christ, and we hope to prep

you for that. Thank you guys again for listening. I was just so upbeat about this show, very excited, and hopefully you'll pass the message along like love and subscribe and we'll see you on the flip side. God bless y'all. Take care and get ready to be pulled off that bench and be used of an amazing way.
