So sit back and relax and enjoy another episode here of let's get biblical with your host yours truly KD. Now today is something a

little bit different, as you guys know. This year we have gone to one show a week on Wednesdays, and that's because we want to fill you up. It's almost like going to a small group. You've gone to church on Sunday. Now here it is Wednesday. You're starting to dry up with a little bit of faith in your body. It's kind of like putting gas in your car and you start to feel it wind down. Things are starting to happen. You're getting a little more irritable, You're getting a little more

upset. You want some more joy in your life. Well, the best way to accommodate that is well start digging into the Bible and the good old sixty six and see if things happen, or even look around the world you're in and find the light in the dark that we are in now. I did this the other day on my way to work in the great city of San Antonio, Texas, and I saw a man on the street corner and we've got a lot of homeless here in San Antonio from time to time.

But they're great people. A lot of them are really good people. Me working in the city being around a lot of homeless as a tour guide,

you get to know some of these people. But as I'm driving to work, I pull up to a red light, as we always do, right, we all pull up there and we'll see a guy come up with a sign or a woman with a sign, and your first inkling as a human being as to what clam up, roll the windows up, shut her down, as Clark Grizzold would say on National Lampoon's Vacation, roll them up, you would, you'd roll them up, you would? You lock the doors.

You look down at your phone like you got an important phone call at six forty nine in the morning, and you just kind of ignore and move on. And then you're like, well, maybe I should have gave them something. Maybe you're one of those people's like, well, all they're gonna do is spend it on drugs and alcohol. Let me tell you something.

I used to believe that too. And you know what, once it's out of our hands and into their hands, it's not up to change up to us to change them and that little bit of change or money you may give them, or a food item or maybe even a clothing item. I've given them the jacket off my back before, and I don't do it so they will be rehabilitated. I do it because that's what I'm supposed to do as a child of God, is to love on everyone and pass it on.

This is what we should be doing. You may not have much in your car, you know what, Let's break it down even further. And this is something I've got to work on too. As a Christian. We may have nothing in our car to give them a value, food, clothing, money. We may not have anything, but we do have prayer. We do have a smile, we do have our voice. There's a lot of power in our tongue. It can hurt, diminish, or even heal people, even the slightest rolling down the window. Hey listen, I don't have

anything, but is there anything I can do for you? Pray for you? Is there any specific need? What's your name? My name's Daryl, Daryl. Nice to meet you, man. Is I'm sorry? There ain't much I can do. I just wanted to say hello, have a great day, and I know that God is shining upon you something that simple right will change the day of that person, and who knows, may change the course of their life because you may be the only person that speaks God into

him that day. Now, I saw this on the corner the other morning. Man comes up. He is dancing, clapping, stopping his feet, just enjoying life. It was cold out. He had a short sleeve on with a beanie. Maybe it looked like jeans, but they were pretty tattered up, kind of almost looked like capris at this point. But man, he was so joyful, bouncing around, enjoying life. And at first I thought he was just someone that was spreading the gospel, right, someone that's

just from a church and maybe out there doing the good deed. And then your human side kicks in your brain and you start thinking, oh, God, here we go. Or roll him up? That you do? You think, roll him up? And then the next thing I thought was, you know what, No, man, I've got a little bit of change. I've got a drink here that I haven't opened. It was for me for the day, But God is so good. I had another drink in my car that I hadn't fully drink from the day before, So I'm like,

let me at least give him a drink. So I rolled down the window and the first thing he says to me, don't want any money. I don't want any money. And this guy was hurting. You know, he was hurting, your prototypical homeless person, missing teeth, his eyes were yellow. He just he his body. His exterior did not look well, but man was his soul amazing to be on the corner, not knowing what

his life is like. But you have an inkling. Maybe he lives on the streets, in and out of shelters, and you sympathize for this person. And God has been teaching me this year the word empathy grace. He showed it me the other night when my San Antonio Spurs lost again. Okay, I was crying, all right, So that's empathy right there. But get him. The next morning, when I saw this joyful homeless man on the corner, just going to town for the Lord, he left his he

it's so cool. That's why I'm stumbling rolled down the window. Don't want any money. I just want to tell you, Jesus loves you. I love you. Lord loves us all. And he starts clapping and dancing and stopping his feet. It was the most beautiful sight of joy I'd ever seen in a very long time. I see the joy of a mom's eyes looking into their babies. I see a father when they're playing with their kid.

Joy. I see that joy. But to be in such a hardcore predicament in your life, to still be out on the street, to be raising the name of God and pure joy, showed me how real God is. A lot of us complain, a lot of us go through issues, some deeper than others. But we don't have to live there. You don't have to live in pain, agony, sorrow, suffering daily. God does not want want that. He wants pure joy to be upon face. And I

posted this on my personal Facebook page the other day. Of course, it has Jesus in a little lake, black and white men in black jumpsuit and he's dancing and it says haters, hater's gonna hate. Well, my post said this, I just saw joy from a homeless person. I wish we could have this type of joy in us. He said he didn't want any money. He just told me Jesus loves me and continue to sing on the

street. Corner. I just thought that this was cool and really made my day, and hopefully it made his, because I know it made Jesus smile. Why can't we be more joyful? We have more than the homeless at times, and even though sometimes we think we don't have more, go ahead and find your joy. Think of that person on the street corner that doesn't have what you have. A job, a roof over your head, maybe not be the best roof over your head, but it's something for now.

I have lived in horrible places and finally have gotten to where God is placing me right now in life. To be with you. Joy is an amazing thing. To just watch it. See if you find joy today, not necessarily in you, but look for it at others. See how you can be more joyful. Some of my favorite verses in the Bible Romans twelve twelve, Rejoice and hope, Be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. I know what you're thinking, Be patient and tribulation in times of need and

sorrow. You want me to be joyful or happy. I want you to be, but I also just want you to try it. Our phrase in twenty twenty four on the show is I dare you, what do you have to lose by being happy or joyful? We've heard the phrase our whole life. It takes more smiles to make of a frown than it does a smile. Turn that frown upside down, you'll have a smile. We've heard it, right, But yet we continue to not let that good news make us

better. We want to wallow and sorrow. We want to wallow and heartache. We want to be in darkness. Well, one day we will be in darkness, the day that the trials and tribulation of this earth occur. With the Book of Revelation, it's not to scare you. I want you to be joyful in all these times. And God kind of just delivered me a message right here. So I'm going to flip the script. Can we say, flip the script? Yeah, if we were in Boston, flip

the script. Show on this episode of Let's Rant with Katie, Let's get Biblical, that is formally known as Let's Ramp. I want to flip it a little because what if we are horrible tribulation. We're going through a lot of things right now in this world. What if there's war? Put yourself in the people's shoes over in Israel, families being attacked, kids pulled from their cars, ripped limb from limb. At times, even when they're going to get fixed up at the hospital, they have hamas out in front of

these hospitals stopping you. If it's not that bad, they send you on your way. They're controlling everything. So you're like that, you want me to be joyful in this Do you know the easiest way to be joyful in any situation is the fact that you're still breathing. Non Believers call it a cop out. I call it a gift. Because God gave us the gift of life. We want to really be able to take every minute of our life and make it worthwhile. And when you do that, joy produces in

your soul. Do something good for someone today, even as far as opening a door or a smile, that's it. You don't have to spend any money to make somebody happy. And that's our problem in this world. In this generation, we think that money will clear up everything. Nope, Puffy said it best. More money, more problems. So why would I want that in my life? I want joy? Right. Philippians four to four says the same rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say rejoice.

Notice in Romans twelve twelve and Philippians four to four, Rejoice, rejoice. I get major arguments sometimes with my wife, I go upstairs, I apologize to the Lord, ask him to do his work in me. What do I need to do? And sometimes it's just go apologize. Simplest thing

to make somebody happy is apologize. And there's sometimes I don't have to say I'm sorry, but I do it because I know I want a more peaceful, joyful environment, not for just myself, my family and my kids, but I want to make the Lord happy by spreading that joy, sucking it up, being humble just for that moment, taking the punch, because God will give you the complete hug and wrap you in His love because of what you've just done. Again, Rejoice always, always, even in times of

tribulation, you will definitely find that joy you're desperately seeking for. And guys, thank you for listening to another episode of Let's Get Biblical with Katie. We love you. God loves you. And remember, if you're not a believer, go google the Prayer of Salvation and see what happens in your life. Read it out loud. Be joyful when you read the prayer of salvation and watch the God that we love so much change you from the inside.

Thank you for listening. We'll see you on the flip side. Let's get the little take care of God, bless min strength. We nude. You just gotta have Fay, You just gotta have fame. It's life for the shadow of your some more. It's no when he's it to the sun and no way. It's when you believe before you can see and you can work on because he's in Noway just gotta have some. You gotta handsome
