The Pylons crew reach 100 episodes of the show. It has been a long time coming and the guys have enjoyed every minute of it (recording wise, not always what happens on the field). With a big show comes a big announcement, and that announcement is the current end of the podcast portion of Let Pylons Be Pylons. Don’t be sad! The guys give you a history of the show and their favorite moments. Also, what would any episode be without football talk?

The 2013 NFL Season is over, but we aren’t done talking about it. What were our favorite parts? What do we want to forget? Did the season live up to our expectations? What about the playoffs? So many things left to wrap up before the Golden Pylons are given out and the offseason begins. So let’s do this.
The biggest game of the year turned out to be a fairly one-sided affair. While that didn’t lessen some people’s enjoyment of the game, others were pretty let down. The guys take you through what went right and what went wrong with each team’s game plan as they also take a look at how things played out compared to what they predicted.
We record an in-depth, total breakdown of the upcoming big game and let you know where the flaws and strengths are with both teams… and then, due to technical difficulties, we lost all of that. So, we recorded a shorter, more concise, version that gets the general points across!
The field for the Super Bowl is set and if you would have listened to Mark before the season started, you would already know what teams are there. Seattle and Denver punched their tickets in the game that we all really wanted to see. How did they do it and did we get the best matchup? We discuss.
We head into Championship weekend with what many analysts are describing as the best four teams in football (we debate that a little) left playing for their respective conference Championships. How did they separate themselves in the Divisional Playoff round from their competition and who has the edge to represent their Conference in the Super Bowl?
Round one of the playoffs gave us one of the best-played weekends of football this season. Unfortunately it wasn’t a complete success as the Bengals fumbled (and intercepted) away their playoff opportunity. With only a few teams rising to the top this season, the rest of the league is mired in something we like to call "Okay-ness." When it all comes down to it, now is the biggest time of the season when you will hear people making mountains from mole hill’s or ignoring evidence if it fits a narrative. It’s one of the toughest time to determine what we will see at the end of the season, but we are here to talk about what makes up a team’s true identity.
With 5 weeks of football behind us we are starting to see trends, both positive and negative. Some teams who were favorites for division titles are tanking and others who were thought to be rebuilding or taking a step back are already separating themselves from the pack. We will take a look at some of these teams that are defying the odds and see by how much they are exceeding or failing to meet expectations.

As usual, there is a lot in the middle and while most of the middle hasn’t distinguished itself one way or the other, we want to know which teams at the top and bottom are giving us a true vision of what they are capable of this season. We try to do all we can to separate the wheat from the chaff.
Week 3 in the NFL gave us more upsets than we could handle! Running down the list of games we saw around 2/3 of the "favored" teams come away with a loss -- some due to poor play, some due to extraordinary effort from the underdog, and even some by teams showing us things they haven't shown us to this point in the budding 2013 season. We try to navigate the waters of the week and try to determine how so many upsets could all happen in the same football week.
It's too early to count some teams out, but that doesn't mean there are just some bad teams out there. We run down the 0-2 teams and let you know if your team should start panicking. The same thing is true, as always, with teams off to a fast start. Is every 2-0 team created equal? Well, we know they aren't, so we try to take a look beyond the record to see who should be standing tall in a few more weeks.
Week one of the NFL rarely gives us a glimpse at who is at the top and who is at the bottom. Typically it only creates more confusion as good teams play good teams and bad teams play bad teams — or some teams are still knocking some rust off from the off season.
