Episode description

Are you measuring your progress by the right metrics? In this deeply reflective episode, I explore why we're all too hard on ourselves when it comes to personal growth and how we often miss the profound transformations happening beneath the surface of our lives.

Have you ever asked yourself whether you would trade places with who you were a year ago? This powerful question reveals more about our growth than almost any other assessment. When we look closely at our evolved mindset, strengthened boundaries, newfound courage, and deeper clarity, the answer often reveals substantial progress we've been blind to. Even if outwardly your circumstances look similar, the internal shifts represent real, meaningful advancement worth celebrating.

And, as a special bonus, I want to give you FREE access to my signature course, Slay Your Year (usually $997)! All you have to do is:

Simple as that!

Introduction: Being Too Hard On Yourself

Speaker 1

Welcome to Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore . Let's talk for a moment , my friends , about progress today . Progress , I have to say , I would say almost gosh , speaking in absolutes . 100% of the people are too hard on themselves . I bet you anything . You are too hard on yourself . How does it feel when I say that to you ? Do you go ?

Hmm , that could be true . People are so particular about their progress . They want to reach very specific milestones , very clear visions . They have in their mind about a very particular outcome , and if they haven't met it specifically or succeeded it , then it's a failure . We're behind . There's more we need to be doing , am I right ?

But I want to ask you this question , which is a far better question than maybe any you're asking yourself right now , like why isn't it working out ? Why aren't I further ahead ? Why this , why that ,

Would You Trade Places With Yourself?

why this , why that ? Let me ask you this simple , powerful question Would you trade places , swap places with yourself a year ago , so June , july , summer 2024 , a year ago ? Would you trade places with yourself ? Then Think about it . Your mind , your habits , your boundaries , maybe .

What about your courage If the answer is no , if you wouldn't go back , if you wouldn't take back every single thing that you've done and learned and allowed in the last 12 months . My friend , you have made progress . I think to myself , gosh last summer , if I picked where I was and what I was doing .

There's a lot that I've shifted inside of me in the last 12 months . There are new realizations I've had . I can certainly tell that my ambition has evolved and changed . I have more clarity , I have more peace and if that's you too , if you wouldn't rewind to

Embracing Progress, Not Perfection

a year ago , if you wouldn't trade places with you a year ago , you've made progress . It might not look dramatic on the outside , that's okay . Maybe you're still waiting for certain results , aren't we all ? Life is a waiting game . It's a constant wait waiting for our family , waiting for the next goal to be realized , waiting for this , waiting for that .

It's a very , very natural . Even if your progress doesn't look dramatic on the outside , even if you're still waiting for a certain or hopeful result , you've made progress . Say it with me . I've made progress .

Hand on your heart , my friend becoming and how you react to situations and how you maybe pause and how you maybe say no a little bit more , and how you maybe open yourself up creatively to new ideas or new people or new situations . What if you are doing far better than you think ?
