¶ Welcome and Core Truth
Welcome to Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore . My friends , I want to share with you something today that's obvious . If you think about it at your core , I believe that you'll understand that this is truth . But it's easily overlooked , especially if we have a tendency to complain . Now , I think that everyone , or almost everyone , complains some of the time .
But hear this , know this , let this sink in today no one ever got more of anything by obsessing over the lack of
¶ The Danger of Focusing on Lack
it . Let me repeat no one ever got more of anything by obsessing over the lack of it . Think about it . If you want love , stop talking about how lonely you are . If you want more sex , right ? A friend of mine was complaining that she's not having enough sex . I'm like stop talking about the sex you're not having .
If you want more money , you want to stop telling the story of how broke you feel , how you feel like you don't have enough . If you want success in any life area , you want to stop repeating how far behind you are . Now you might think that's helpful to a point , or that you're seeking reassurance from others , or that you're just telling it like it is .
Let me repeat no one ever got more of anything by talking about their lack of it ever in the history of humanity . What we focus on expands , which brings me what comes to mind as I talk
¶ The Farmer's Wisdom
about . This is something very practical . It's an example from nature , and what's true of one thing is true of another thing , am I right ? And nature is one of our greatest teachers . So what comes to mind as I start thinking , you know , are people talking about lack , not having enough . I think of something as simple as the farmer .
I think of the farmer out there planting their fields . They don't stare at the soil , complaining , they don't go . Oh , what's going to happen this year ? Oh , nothing's growing . Oh , my gosh , you know , I suppose last year sucked , so this year's going to suck , and well , that really sucks . They don't do that .
They don't stare at the soil , complaining , worrying , telling everybody why everything's going wrong with it . They prepare it , they plant , they trust the process . They don't keep pulling up all the seeds , going . Oh , what Is this working ? Is this working ? Nothing's happening , nothing's happening .
No , they prepare , they plant , they trust the process and then they keep showing up , rain or shine , without complaint . Nature is nature . This is how I think about life . I do my part . God meets me halfway , the universe meets me halfway . I let life do her part , I do mine , she does hers
