Episode description

Have you ever watched someone take dozens of photos, desperately seeking that perfect angle to create an illusion of serenity in a crowded, chaotic tourist spot? During a trip to Santorini last year, I witnessed this phenomenon at an extreme level - influencers sweating in scorching heat, meticulously adjusting every detail for the perfect shot.

This observation sparked a powerful question: Why don't we apply that same dedication to knowing our "angles" in life? While many of us have been conditioned to focus on improving our weaknesses, the most successful people throughout history weren't good at everything. They excelled in one or two specific areas. Constantly trying to shore up weaknesses only dilutes our natural talents and prevents us from making our greatest impact.

And, as a special bonus, I want to give you FREE access to my signature course, Slay Your Year (usually $997)! All you have to do is:

Simple as that!

Welcome and Santorini Observations

Speaker 1

Welcome to Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore . When Heath and I were in Greece last year , in Santorini , I don't think I've ever seen so many influencers in one place taking hundreds of photos .

It's very famous there because it's beautiful , the water is stunning , the buildings are white , there's the blue dome , I mean it's colorful and beautiful and in photos it looks serene .

But if you go there , especially in peak season , it is full of people , it's boiling hot , it's bustling and people are really trying to get these angles where it looks like it's more quiet , it looks like they've got the courtyard to themselves , it looks like they're the only person there enjoying the sunset , the only person there looking just fabulous and free in

the summer . And I have to say I know , look , we live in this culture where it is selfies and we do take multiple photos and we post the best ones . And do you remember when social media was newer , we were a bit more self-conscious about this stuff , taking videos of ourselves taking multiple pictures ?

It felt kind of vain or it felt a little bit self-indulgent , but now it's utterly commonplace , right ? We just see it again and again and we expect it . Greece , in particular , that summer day I remember going . Wow , everyone is going out of their way like literally sweating , fixing their hair perfectly to get the shot right .

This is what we would call , in simple photography , knowing your angles and good for you . Do like you , you do you . If that's you , good for you . I hope you did get that perfect shot . I wish I had that stamina

From Physical to Personal Angles

, I have to say . But this gets me thinking right . Sometimes we will pour everything our energy , sometimes our money , we will use all we have to get the perfect picture , or many , many people do this Maybe not you , but you've observed it . But what about knowing your angles in other ways ?

I think that sometimes we put so much of a premium on the physical right how something looks . But what about knowing your angles in other , perhaps more important ways , based on what your goals and desires are in your life ? For example , are you leading with your strengths when it comes to your career ?

I believe that we all know what our strengths are , and we've been taught that it's important to instead boost our weaknesses , work on those areas that we that in our lives maybe aren't so great or aren't so polished or aren't so put together . What if we ditch that the most successful people in history weren't good at everything .

They were often just very good at one thing or two things . Now I love to do a lot of things as a business owner right Podcasts , right Courses , memberships . I love it . But my mission is really one thing being able to elevate others and show them what can be helping you be , do and have everything

Leading With Your Strengths

that you want and that shows up in multiple forms . I'm not sitting there really trying to become an Excel expert so I can manage my bookkeeping in a way that's utterly perfect . Luckily , I now have help with that .

But I'm not behind the scenes trying to figure out all the perfect equipment or apparatus to get the perfect setup for something I know that good enough is , and what matters is my content , what comes from my heart .

I can lead with my strengths , and so many of us spend so much of our lives diluting our strengths unintentionally by trying to bolster or boost our weaker areas . My friends , this is the equivalent of not knowing your angles , not knowing your angles in a photo , right ?

Often , some of us , we prefer a certain side , we like our hair a certain way or we like to stand a certain way . So you know , our body looks nice , my friends . To me that is so secondary how I look in a photo sure , nice , cool , yes , it's a nice , have a great photo . But I know my angles in real life . I know how to pitch the media .

I know how to , I hope , convey a message that can land with people . If someone has a block in their life , I know how to bust that block so they can be , do and have whatever they care about . That is knowing my angle as a coach . So are you knowing your angles in your life ? Do you know your best pose ? Do you know where you're strong ?

Do you know where the outcome is going to be the best ? To me , not knowing this is a crying shame . Imagine an influencer who is all about their physical angles , just ditching it completely and going yeah , whatever , I've just got to work on this or that other angle to make it better .

No , you just focus on what's good and strong , feels good , makes sense , comes naturally to you . Can you know your angles in ways that are , in fact , more important than what takes up often so much time when it comes to even just posting

Knowing Your True Angles

on social media ? Let me know what your angles are . What are your strengths ? Put simply , what are they . If you have one , it's enough . Think about David the shepherd in the Bible , the story of David and Goliath . David was a shepherd , a poet , wasn't strong , didn't have military training , but he was good .

With a humble slingshot that was enough to make him king . My friends know your angles . What are they ? Until tomorrow , my friends , so much
